I see today JHD has reached the short list for the 2020 AIM awards

Dear Fordam — it is helpful to know the rules , if a shareholder informs the Company I /we now own less than 3% of the current share capital etc , that is all the company can announce .
Look at other companies announcements it is always the same ( not we still own 1% or 2.5% etc )

In my opinion a word perfect presentation by MR at the AGM this afternoon . The future sounds exciting .

I don’t think RS selling was a reflection on AEG’s future . People can sell for many reasons , eg tax , debt , divorce etc etc .

RNS today — so far so good and a little rise in the share price.

We have the interims and AGM to look forward to this week . The Chairman’s forward looking statement should give us a guide for the rest of the year .

Re RMDE . AEG shareholders wish them well. With the interims and AGM due this month let’s hope there are some positive announcements to accompany these events . Yours sleepless.

Stifler - are you confusing companies ? AEG’s brokers are SP Angel and Allenby capital .

The placing was 250m with institutions . I very much doubt if any of these shares have been sold .
The institutions bought because they believed the company had a future ( usually after a personal presentation from the Board ) and they wouldn’t last long as fund managers if they buy one week at 0.6p and sold the next at 0.55p .

Interims due by the end of September .so we should have some news and updates in the next 3 weeks.

RNS - Miton Trust takes 5.4% stake in AEG. A vote of confidence.

Machoman - yes good news - another stepping stone going forward. Looking at the voting it looks like “ you know who “ was the only vote against.

Dear Guvnor , you are obviously welcome to have your own views . However if you really believe everything you post you would have sold your shareholding a year ago . Only an idiot would think the CEO is useless and keep holding the shares.

I am also backing MR . It is easy in hindsight to criticise . If guvnor had ever served on a plc Board he would know that often agreements and business discussions have confidentiality clauses attached so shareholders are sometimes legally prevented from understanding the rationality behind decisions. I think this will be a good year for AEG shareholders and I wish the Board well.

Like so many brewers and pubs in the drinks sector Young’s have taken a real beating since March. However people will always like beer and pubs . When somebody finds a vaccine the share will jump back to £16 in quick order . Strong hold.

Not many people on this chat line as last post over 2 years ago. Anyway only another £1 to get back to pre Covid etc., should make that in the next 6 months .

Dear Chilting - I agree , this is a well run company and people will never stop going to pubs ,plus strong and wealthy shareholders .

Takeover whispers are definitely around . It seems a shame after all their hard work but at say 35p + who would say no.
