George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Jag if you read the posts to the bottom of this page you pretty much get the last few months in a nutshell.
My approach to Xmas shopping would be hold off, there should be an RNS in plenty of time to decide how much to spend, I am planning to do all of mine on the 23rd and 24th December this year and still be in the pub for lunchtime on Xmas eve! If its bad news or no news then I will be in the pub for lunchtime on the 23rd!

Chipandputt do your parents know you are using the family computer during school hours? I'm sure your mother wouldn't be very happy with your language so give it a rest and get back to your spelling lesson.

I have always found that a much more accurate indicator for the direction of travel for this share is that everytime I have a top up the SP immediately goes down!
GLA
I always find the trades on here fascinating for several reasons. Firstly LSE isn't very good and getting Buys/sells correct (the 500k sell this morning looks correct but some subsequent trade clearly aren't) Secondly it is always interesting to see what is a manually placed trade ie. someone consciously presses the sell or buy button, and automated trades ie triggered by a limit order. Equally the MM will manipulate the price in order to get through a large buy or sell trade. Often you see the price go up when it looks like a sea of sells and vice versa. Its only when you have big volume that the pattern follows what you might instinctively think.
I think L2 is a much better indicator and a much better tool, sadly I don't have it!
Still volume is low so no leak.
And as for the old 1 share trade!!! Total BS in my limited experience, but a broken clock is correct twice a day so the urban myth continues.

Interesting DE.
Far from replacing the Mini, the stronger brand of the mini has thrived and the metro has sunk without trace.
Funny how things don't always turn out how you might expect ....bit like SOU
GLA
Ha ha N4$ I think technically you are correct but everyone knows what I mean by Mini Metro. I did have one back in the late 80's. An MG Metro, loved it although it always lacked a 5th gear, and the air suspension was rubbish.
Your stories of stalking SOU staff around Sevenoaks M&S do worry me, I'm sure BM was probably being serious the second time when he told you to F off. I will make sure I avoid M&S, never went very often as parking is cheaper in Tonbridge but now I have a second reason to stay away.
I've missed your posts N4$, genuinely glad to have you back.
GLA
The guy in the Mini Metro is N4$ who first spotted the A4 sheet in the window! Although I understand he isn't allowed to park within 50m of the building since the injunction ;o)
GLA
JTF I really can't imagine our lord JP sits in his office reading this BB concerning himself with your spam recipes and feeling the pressure of posters. hopefully he is too busy trying to screw and extra penny on the deal that he is working on. His likely only distraction is wondering who the guy is sitting in the mini metro in the car park with binoculars trained on the office windows.
As for the A4 sheet of paper on the window the answer is very simple. We all know that Hapless BM couldn't find his way out of a cul de sac let alone gas in the desert. The sheet reminds him which office building he works in so that he can find his way back from M&S foodhall, and then it guides him back to his desk next to the window. All very innocent explanation in reality.
GLA
JTF although PS has blocked you can you still see his messages? I've never blocked anyone but assumed that like Twitter if you block someone they can't see you and you can't see them?
PS's timeline must be very sparse, virtually everyone is blocked.
GLA
That was N4$ trying to fine tune his average to three decimal places!
GLA
morning n4$, finished your suspension? Good to see it has given time to reflect on your actions and you have come back like a positive bright light of sunshine.
I've actually missed you with your two averages and bile for our lord JP. Talk of low IQs and there is you claiming to have two averages, one of which is higher than the SP ever reached lol
GLA
Walter Mitty, was that rhyming slang?
GLA
Chip and putt reminds me of someone? Same language same attitude.
C&P what is your average?
GLA
JP said we would get a SPA RNS. I checked at FSC. Either way time running out.
GLA
I'm not sure we will get an 'offer' RNS. Our lord JP said we would get a recommended SPA RNS. So that could come on 30 Dec and his email still be correct. It is the SPA that will take time to agree. Weeks would be my guess many of them.
But at least we haven't had a 'no offers' RNS that would be very quick! This leads me to believe we will have an offer, not necessarily what every one wants though!
GLA
Haven't heard from Mahatma for a few days but I am intrigued by the email he had from our lord JP recently. JP repeated the line of year end but seemed to clarify that end of year meant deal finalised by year end. Previously hapless BM suggested that it would all be over before 31 October?
In theory they could both be right but does JP's email contradict BM? Discuss
GLA
We're all getting bored of waiting that's for sure. But we do at least have a back stop date. 31 December really isn't that far off. The end will come before then as an TE, and if it doesn't then the end will come for me here as I will then accept that N4$ and others were right and I was wrong. So less than 3 months either way.
GLA
Doesn't look massively different unless my memory is playing tricks on me?
GLA
Looking at the volume of trades I would say no news doldrums. Start to worry/celebrate when we get a huge upswing in volume depending on which way the price then moves!
GLA pls not much longer our lord JP!
Pont capital gains are payable on any gain over £12,000 in any one year. So it depends on how many shares you have and what your average is as to what LE price would trigger it.
But if like Super Mario you hold millions of shares it will be an issue. On a whole company sale I think the tax level is 10% though so it's a major consideration for our lord JP and Super Mario.
Anything in an ISA is exempt
N4$ probably doesn't need to worry with his 'overall' 95p average ;o)
