Flogit123, here are a couple of bits of the article posted by Pappi this morning, obviously this is a real positive and highlights what was said at the recent GCM, AGM... this mornings posts are well worth a read mate to give you an out line of what is about to happen with coal mining in Bangladesh hopefully very soon .... "State Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said that coal mining will be done by ensuring underground water management. Rehabilitation and employment of the locals will also be ensured."

Dickybirdz, I hate giving price predictions, and i know before anyone says it that we have more shares in issue now so it will probably not reach those highs, but look back at the SP in 2006 when we thought we were going to get the green light previously .... you will not be disappointed ;)

To be honest i did expect it to be this price earlier today after seeing Pappi's post this morning, but all the same its good to finally be moving north again ...

Buying at 4.60 looks like we are going to finish the week on a high, all set up for positive news next week ;)

Mankiniparty, you are correct, it was said that it will be very important part of moving forward that it been seen that Hasina herself or her energy ministers are the ones that announce mining at Phulbari when ever that does happen, and that it is very unlikely to be announce through a GCM, RNS first....

Mankiniparty, Deeogi, Yes i can confirm that the question was asked during the AGM meeting and again reiterated after the meeting when I spoke to Keith and Gary, and they were both very confident that raising future funds when needed was not an issue and that they already had people inquiring about being involved!

Speck1, i am guessing there has been a few sells (not a lot) from earlier this morning, because its Friday, so some taking profit from the week, and also because only 4 / 5 weeks ago we were at a price of 1p and have been building from there on speculation that good news it about to hit, of which this latest article starts to confirm ....

This news article is massive imho ….. I don’t believe that there is any way that this article would have been printed in Bangla press if the powers that be had not sanctioned it……..

Hopefully we will now start to see a lot more articles openly mentioning open pit mining!!

According to the Hydrocarbons Unit of the Energy Department, mine development takes 4-5 years for underground method and 2-3 years for open pit method. Therefore, if the government wants to get the benefits of domestic coal in this period, it should take a quick decision. In this case open pit mining at Barapukuria and Phulbari will be most profitable.
