how hard for JB to found someone he trust form a company to buy back all the shares he is going to dump, then the new company is gaining control of the Amigo step by step, and having voting power rather than JB only has shares not voting power? any legal compliance expertise to offer here?
Yuri, if 50% vote for the board to stay, there will be massive 60% (correct me if percentage wrong) of Amigo shares dumping to the market, without of matching buying force, the share price will be going south without break. Are all of shareholders here for reputation of the company or for capital growth?
Bigsmoke, JP Morgan did not hammer share price down, today 's RNS telling us the transaction happened last Wednesday. When the fund with short view on Kier gave up their holdings, Kier starts to show its bull's horn. JP Morgan missed the rise, or shall we say the major market player will not play long while asset management firms like JP Morgan are still in play, the smart money will not give them a free ride. Today's pump and dump is just testing resistance on upper level. it just started, there will be more pump to come, if you know how to play, then play along, if not sure, just hold on. Selling high buying back low is not that easy to master.
Intu is far away from going to wall yet, normally when a company is going to wall, it's bond price (not convertible bond, which affect by equity price) will crash to below 60% . bond 4.125% 6dec2023 still stand at about 84. even TCG when Citi broker rate it zero, it still has a 6p to 15p play . no one has rated Intu to zero yet right? ready for roller-coaster in next three month, guys. good luck .
I had my eyes on KAZ in 2016 , when it was at lowest 67-75 for less a week, caught some bounce and upper trend, sold at high bought at low, I thought I was doing well, the fact was when buying back low, I was not all in and hold. in 2018 it hit 1100. I did not hold that long. I did the same this morning sold at 147, get back in 140, but not all been bought back. Old habit is hard to die, I guess. The thing is that if you are really serious on investment, you need to set a target price, having all analysis back it up. otherwise you are just an weather monkey constantly chasing for bananas; now where is my banana? I just sold it again at 148, wait for another tree shake. But in mine subconscious, this is another KAZ.
Haha, manchego. although our view might differ, but I admire your sense of humour. Of course there is no black and white what big II or company will do or can do. SP might even sudden spike if offer price for part of business being good in short term. But for long term , there is no bright certain future for TCG IMHO for the fact available to market now
I don’t think most current market PIs realise the fact that Fosun will not try to own TCG by taking over equity shares , think about pay much more than 200m to take all share up (if offer being attractive) and facing debt about 1.2 billion to pay (figure is not accurately calculated), now the bond of TCG 2022 trade at 38% of face value, about 450m Market value, if you are Fosun, will you not prefer pay 450m to buy debt then own the TCG without debt to pay in future? If Fosun scoop up debt then Debt to Equity SWAP, likely leave no value for share holders.
Thank you for rounded analysis, Vodka. totally agree with you, especially about liquidity part. hopefully the next trade update will attract some traders going long not those who just do the same day trade. Before that it is an absolute bargain for now.
yes, I am confused by the market reaction on the new contract. last year, as trading update: net profit before tax for 2018 will exceed £864k,In the Trading Statement of 27 March 2018, the Directors reported that the Group "had [orders
secured] for 2018 [of] £8.8m, a record high for the Group at this point of the year." As at the end of
January 2019, the value of work secured stood at £10m, another new high for the Group." now with 3.9m add on, contract for 2019 is14m. is any reason share price is not £2 to give £5M market capital. is the profit margin for such work low? or loan interest is high? But their long term loan was only at 180K in June 2018 published report.
years' lesson teaching me that all the guess about who is building long / short positions is wasting time and miss-leading. you might just save these time for analysing valuation model of market used towards the individual share, for MTRO, imho, it is juggling between NAV and PE, since there is first profit warning, PE becoming less relevant in play, NAV need take a hair cut due to risk assessment errors, and market always believes bad news coming not only once, even it is not always true. For me, Time to build the first trench of four buying in.
is bit weak, what is going on? According to 30.09 account NAV 1.4 billion, MV now 1.38 Billion. can not say it is absolute bargin now, but it is cheap for a growth stock. has the market stopped treating Metro as growth company?
"The Company's backlog (including options) will increase to more than US$ 260 million (31 August 2018: US$ 121 million) once the above charters have commenced.
As previously announced, the Company does not expect a recovery in its trading performance in 2019 despite continuing improving levels of utilisation."
why increase in use their vessels is not improving performance? I really don't have knowledge in this type business, someone enlighten me please?
Big Thumb up for GFD, absolute calm leader of the pack. I was in at 7.5 but out earlier due to always hate of big spread, even at my own analysis 90p per share book value. Just can not keep confidence to myself while out of country. what will happen now GFD? are we gonna swing around 18, what you adjust yor target price around this share?
Went for holiday in Leukerbad, was taking cable car up to Gemmi , worry about no signal at top so sold half way 16.50 , 2 minutes later when reached top , price hit 18.00 .what a day. Should I be sad to miss 10 percent for acting a bit earlier. And there's still signal on top
