Novice, I'm clearly one of those on here with less patience than most when it comes to SOLG. We could have been here years ago. We've been to 40p three times in my experience and each time it ends with ashes in our mouth. I can't stand the "jam tomorrow" philosophy. I detest dilution.

In other words, I am in no way suited to investing in miners.

But I do feel patient right now because I do feel the techtonic plates are shift positively beneath our feet towards some end game concerning Cascabel. After all, if not now, when?

Our merger with CGP will bring some pushy, hungry people in a rush into our tent, and I approve of that.

I can be patient when I think the timescale is now limited when it once seemed endless. No £1.32 predictions from me (far from it), but I do feel we could be far north of here shortly.

Shame shareholders need to go knocking on their door though for them to say something about this.

Thankfully OC we have the CGP lot on board now who are sharper and hungrier than our zombies so I suspect we might be pulling our fingers out of our backsides at last soon.

These things are set to try us. They just seem a lot worse when we are viewing them from a position of weakness (in price) rather than strength. Of course the BoD are no help at all, as usual.

I don't think it will ever be mate - but in a poor, developing country the mighty dollar will out and the maximisation of these vast resources will steamroll ahead regardless in the long term. The wheels will be greased somehow.

As I've said we've seen these hiccups and rumblings from "indigenous groups" all down the years - did not seem to affect the recent Japanese potential investors one bit, and in a country whose future really depends on developing these mines I suspect lip service is being paid to certain sensitive issues.

If this news had come out when we were at 37p, you guys wouldn't be so spooked. What we do need is an RNS with some good news, or at least some clarification on this point, to boost the SP.

As it is, some of you have clearly been ground down by the recent low price - everything looks black, the slightest hiccup looks like the end for SOLG in Ecuador etc etc etc.

I used to feel this way back in 2018 when we could not escape the 19p level for months and the board was being mentally drained everyday by jmiley and bottomzup spreading doom and gloom. But there have been far bigger challenges from Ecuador in the past - including civil unrest - which were genuine existential threats.

To those just exasperated and at that capitulation stage, I would remind you of the words of Churchill -

"When you are going through Hell - keep going!"

I'm no fan or Irwin but I admire his bullishness - and he's a lot richer than any of us.

OK Quady - kind of sad that you openly admit you're basically filter material like MassiveRay or Slug, and tacitly admit that your posts are basically about getting attention.

You've spoke a lot in your posts about your life and your background, and why we should listen to your "expertise". I'm not sure what happened to you in the past but you are clearly crying out for validation, and if this little message board is your only outlet and the only place where you can feel important, or listened to, or not or your own, then I personally don't want to spoil that for you, because no matter how annoying I find you, I don't find you malicious. I should try to be more tolerant and less impatient, but Zoros is right - you are the expert at the drip drip drip technique and even though I know I should have sympathy for whatever lies behind your behaviour I'm not your friend, your mate, your carer or even the long suffering but polite guy standing next to you in the pub getting his head nipped off.

So I'm going to filter you later today mate and that will be us. Before I do, I want to wish you well and hope for both of us that your diverse book theory is wrong and that a bid for Cascabel is indeed coming in the none too distant future.

Z, I really don't want to filter him because part of me believes this isn't an act, that he is harmless but genuine... perhaps even on some kind of spectrum - that would certainly explain the diverse book stuff repeated over and over again. You know, like "Qantas never crash, Qantas never crash". But you are correct my patience is wearing thin.
