Amigo’s license was through Amigo Loans Ltd (which is no longer trading). It’s not possible to swap this to another business (RTO or otherwise). Any RTO (finance related) would need to have a license in place to trade. The PLC would just apply to the PRA/FCA to confirm controlling interest. Pretty straightforward if a target is in place….

Amigo is not accredited to the FCA. So the business would need to either have or acquire a license from the PRA/FCA. That aside - as a shell - the opportunity is there. GLA

Jimmy, Amigo’s licence to lend is through Amigo Loans Ltd. They have confirmed that they would not be able to acquire a new licence to lend under a different legal entity in time to make it viable or have the funds to do so. All businesses under the Amigo Holdings PLC umbrella are therefore likely to be wound down. Any RTO would need to have a licence in place to trade.
