Low yields but usually safe. If you sell you have to await the next days price . And receive the money in your account the following day. Then you can buy shares. Definitely not for someone wanting to put it into gilts for a few weeks. In the situation that we are in bond prices should edge higher. But you would have to wait about 9 to 12 months to make a reasonable profit. Far better to hold for the long term. Novacyt and bonds complete opposite ends of investing.
I’m with you. Better to wait, even if the some shares go up so what. There are other opportunities. I was tempted to buy Abcam to day but going to wait. As the virus causes more disruption to the markets it follows that when the overall market goes up it will be a dead cat bounce.
I have a fair amount in gsk and if there is a whisper as with other companies about testing of a vaccine the share will jump as the herd will arrive. As I’ve said before 16000 for gsk and 11000 for Abcam.
Dogs, you did well then. I wouldn’t touch nov with a barge pole. I would if they had money and profits behind them. GSK is a solid company and worth adding on good falls. Good divs and when the split happens you will do ok. They may well be taken over at some stage as I think a lot of companies will be looking at mergers etc. Some big Parma companies in the states. Abcam are also good with there reagents although it will be interesting to see if there products are used within the covid 19 vaccine searches . And if so how many sales. This is an area I have no knowledge. Stick at it and hope you make money.
