the vast majority of retail trading is done through nominee accounts - all that you would see in a TSX style trade reporting system, is an endless list of nominee account service providers.

London has far greater depth than the TSX and I am quite sure attempting to introduce that style of reporting, will create problems.

A lot of players aren't devious, they just do not want their activity made public.

The simpler way, would be to reduce the limit for TR1 disclosure from 3% to 0.5% and for any changes to be rns'd no matter how small - that would allow some idea of institutional buying in the lower amounts, that we currently do not see.

yep - 38 in september, update on the flow rates at 16az and clarification over the gas sales contracts and infrastructure. Plus a couple more drills towards the end of the year.

AJW - I had originally bought at 2.9p in January, then as the stock started to climb I added at 7.99p and 10p. I sold the whole lot at 15.66p.

I was effectively locked out, as opening a new position without a substantial drop would have meant using up a lot of the profits to obtain the same exposure.

I did not re open a new position until the stock had retraced to 10.76p and have been buying in the 8's and 7's. I now hold more than I did before at a lower average than before, with a cash exposure equal to my original position. I still hold the profit from the previous position and it is ready to be deployed, if needed.

yes - pretty much bear. The companies focus has been on oil initially, however, this is just to get things going. Their bigger prize is the gas, which is a few months or so behind the oil.

Once we get closer, we should hear more and more about the gas.

The fact that bago are moving forwards with the gas infrastructure and the contracts, means that we are producing enough and of sufficient quality to justify their expenditure.

I am not really expecting any news today or tomorrow. The Uk market shuts down for the bank holiday weekend tomorrow. I would think that any update will be next tuesday, at the earliest.

I am not upset Simon, I am annoyed that someone felt the need to report a post that I had not had the chance to read, whereas others had. All I could do was read the comments left by others, which are largely meaningless without the main piece.

as for your comments re hepseal/sea and heptathlon -perhaps you should give up the weed smoking.

mike, cautious may have the ability to report posts and lse admin may have the ability to remove them, however, that doesn't make it right. Others would like the opportunity to read the posts, as there may be an angle that can be independently researched, which may unearth, as yet unknown information.

I am the sort of investor that wants to know what PH had for breakfast, if I thought it would be relevant to the investment case.

doesn't matter whether it is iffy or not- I would like the opportunity to read it - there may be an element of truth in the post and I do not need someone else deciding for me, what I read or not. That poster submitted the information to a public board, it should stay there and not have self appointed overlords reporting it.

the company rns'd that it was producing 700bopd, but never mentioned shutting the well in later on - so it is pointless trying to have somoenes opinion on here removed, when the company didn't bother telling the market that the well wan't producing at 700bopd as per the last rns.

New players on the board may not know, however, the resident holders here, are quick to jump on any perceived falsehoods and potential unverified ramping/deramping or claim making.

I could understand someone reporting a post that was offensive, profane or indecent or spamming the board with advertisements. Reporting a post, which gives information of the stock the board relates to, whether it is true or not, seems
a bit odd - we should have the opportunity to dissect the information and accept or dismiss it at our leisure.

so, what did hepseal have to say, seeing as someone else felt that the rest of us shouldn't be able to read it and decided to report it to teacher.

bedex - do not forget that block trades on setsqx, which is a combined order and quote driven market, where retail investors compete with market makers, there is no maximum spread regime.

if it was a trade between two Market Makers, then it should have the "m" trade type - it is recorded as an "o" trade, so just an ordinary trade made through the market makers for normal settlement date.
