It is sometimes better to take a loss if you see an opportunity to make it back and more elsewhere. But remember if you put £1000 on a share and lose 50% then put your £500 remainder in another share you have to then make 100% to break even to your grand again :/ Glad you're up on AST Baz - nice move :) I'll tell you a story which still makes me sick -summer last year when UKOG was at 0.85p I bought some for a quick trade and sold for a little profit at 0.90p - went on holiday and was't watching the markets? A week or 2 later it was at 3.5p then 5p etc...it rose to around 10p intraday. Obviously it' come back down since. Then a couple of months ago I see it at around 1p / 1.5p and don't buy then it bags lol. Grrrrrr

I add this price just seems silly now. Very limited downside I reckon IMHO.

Joe - I'm currently out but seriouspy considering getting back in at these levels. I originally got in at 19p and sold for a small loss at around 17p.

Baz you sold your ukog at a loss then? Were you in at around 2.4p? Did you put it in something else?
