What price did Newcrest buy in for can’t remember but more than 20p, in that time the only thing that’s changed is the price of cold and the future of copper. Newcrest have their hands full with Havieron and Red Chris they’ve probably agreed to let Bhp get Solg and get they’re money back plus when the bid arrives. Hopefully Newcrest will hang on to their shares so we will at least get a decent price. Market should see sense in this development.

Being walked down, no issues with that, who wants to pay more than the absolute.minimum. When takeover happens it will be at a function of the prevailing price. If the price is Low the offer will be lowish, NM knows this is a serious game of poker, he’s going all in because he knows that Time and the POG are on his side. With BHP getting out of coal and wanting to develop PM’s to me it’s a match made in heaven, but BHP will try to squeeze every last£ out of the takeover price, they’ve got highly paid people whose job it is to make this happen. Been in subscription shares for years and never seen a negative time component. As it stands teeth are worth 13p but they’ve got TIL November before final subscription price is known. If you think gold is going up and most commentators think so then Gpm will probably be in 80 to 100 p price range given a gpss price of between 34 to 54 p. As I stated earlier best prospect of a 10 bagger I’ve ever seen.

With plenty of time on my hands been thinking of what will happen to the price of gold. We all have some thoughts or we wouldn’t be here, but would be interested to know what others think. Personally I think it could go absolutely ballistic not in intrinsic value but when denominated in worthless Fiat currencies such as Dollar, Sterling euro etc. Don’t know when the dollar will crash and burn, but it will. So as a punt I’m going to say $1 Trillion oz before 2023, before you spit out your weetabix in fits of laughter, if you were Zimbabwean before their hyperinflation you would have laughed at anyone suggesting they would see the price of A kilo of rice being $1 trillion Zimbabwean dollars. Anyway would be interested to get the feel for what everyone else thinks whilst we idle away the hours watching Ggp go to 20p

Good time to top up at approx 25% discount to NAV. hoping the subscription shares would drop again as I think these will have multi bag realistic potential. With the Chinese on the lookout for Gold miners there’s a lot of M&A going to be done. With several irons in the fire and rising gold prices can see only one way for these and that’s up. Could be the successful applicant will have a short tenure. BHP have iron and copper covered, Far East centric and needing to cover themselves from industrial metals and into precious metals, ticks all the boxes in one fell swoop if they bid for Solg. Would probably be an all share offer, unfortunately we have to wait until Oct unless someone else fancies their chances and 4 months is a long time when the world economy is going to implode.

Just read on ggp the same info about Newcrest wanting to hire block cavers, only on the Ggp site they thought it was for Havieron.
