Travelweekly are reporting CMV has entered administration. They were 90% sold for this year and 50% sold for 2021. The good thing is less competition for saga.

Is this like mates rates? Obviously we are expecting news with regards to Essar. Shorecan agreement etc... and this should fly.....

First sailing of new ship is 5th November from Southampton.

I think saga will pull through this pandemic. It’s just the sp being hammered. I was tempted at 20p thinking that’s not a bad entry. Great entry currently.

Not a bad update under the circumstances. Why have they not applied for government Covid funds? Like easyJet and jet2 have and tui via German bank??

They have two New ships on order. Why would they go bust? Obviously social distancing on ships will be 50 per cent capacity. So in fairness they need or should adapt new itineraries such as shorter or mini cruises. The good thing is cruise is U.K. sailings and then they have the insurance arm.

Other travel companies like easyJet and jet2 have received gov loans. I’m sure saga could do the same?

Activities deal signed for this summer... don’t think this will do anything at all for tui bottom line.

This is getting hammered. And I’d personally say these would be stronger than easyJet. Also don’t understand how OTB share price is holding being just an OTA...

TUI Announced today all holidays cancelled until June 11th And Cruises until October... also Balearic Islands have said first tourists allowed back will be German in first instance. Good thing for both TUI and jet2 Is Greece has not been impacted by Covid-19

Seen something on twitter this morning. From travelweekly or travelmole. Mentioned Balearic Islands won’t be allowing tourists back this year. Jet2 need to focus on 2021 and getting deposits in and even launching 2022 summer holidays.. even new products as once tourism is back up... its anyone’s market share .... one thing is certain you won’t see a lot of flight only offers from TUI.

TUI Ag have already been handed 1.6b euros from a German bank. U.K. staff are currently furloughed. Seen something on twitter, about Balearic Islands won’t be allowing U.K. holiday makers back this year?? But if Restaurants and Bars remain shut until Winter. I can’t see how hotels will be open?? They need to focus on 2021

Obviously OTB earn money or commissions from a sale of a flight, hotel and transfer ie: coach or car hire. But when things go wrong they have an added cost of getting all the above cancelled. Refunded or change to a future date.. also most of the bookings are beach based. Tui and jet2 will be tightly controlling flight only sales to ensure future bookings are in-house. Which is more profit to them...

I think tui and Jet2 which are the only two package holiday companies in U.K. will need to push Winter Sun Deals October to April 2021 and then Summer. But I would think destinations which generate more profit. We all know winter period is where they don’t make money. I presume jet2 will receive the same amount of money as easyJet has 600m not sure about tui U.K. obviously tui Germany has 1.6b loan...
