For me this a " New ALBA" and I judge them from around July 2020, I was fully tracking Alba a good year before then, I decided to invest in them after hearing a GF presentation in August 2020.
I took a gamble and invested in them before they were awarded two vital permits by NRW.
One on 22 July 2020, and another in September 2020. Without those two permits I doubt that the gold exploration program would have continued. These were the permits that would make or break Alba in terms of Welsh Gold and relations with NRW. I must add when two permits dropped, the share price took off, as it will do with the dewatering permit.
So considering Alba got the Green light for the Gold a couple of years ago, factor Covid into that as well, then add Greenland and Greenroc into the equation and of course the permit delay, I think what Alba have achieved in that time period has being amazing. Alba is a company going places !!!

Good to hear Alba are responding to e mails again in good time, and they report things are going excellently. I have never felt more confident in Alba right now, just waiting patiently for that dewatering permit and enjoying any other news that comes our way until then. I have never doubted that this will be a great investment. As I said at the time, the GreenRoc spin off was master stroke by GF, I don;t think I wrong about that. What a amazing position Alba are in right now.

My thoughts, this is just a great opportunity to top up if you can, bought again today, as I did on Tuesday.

Looks like the earliest potential date for dewatering permit is now August. Alba still have dewatering that shaft as Plan A, and have no plans to do it another way. They are super confident they will get the permit, and just as frustrated as us at the length of time it is taken, so just even more patience required.

I like your opinion, I would not argue with that.
I am looking forward to getting some answers to my questions on dewatering in the Q and A, and hearing about everything else to.

@Robbie, I also had another message from Alba like you and others I am sure, I will post it for any others who may be interested. I get the distinct impression that Alba are getting into gear right now. On dewatering alone, I am now expecting to hear that Alba have now submitted the final document as part of the European Protected Species Licence application leading to the granting of the permit, or they will tell us the nature of the extra data they may be providing along with some time frames going forward.

looks like I may be getting my questions answered after all...or maybe they will have been answered by then!!..Alba Mineral Resources plc (AIM: ALBA) will be recording a Q&A, which will be released on Thursday 16 June 2022 via VOX Markets.

Maybe not worth posting but I will anyway, as wrongly or rightly it gave me a boost.
I received an e mail response from Alba today, I had asked them some specific questions on the dewatering permit. They could not tell me anything due to Aim rules, that's to be expected.
"according to the AIM rules, has to be transparent and to release any material information immediately. Therefore, ..... advice is to follow our RNS’s closely"
There was more to it than that, but nothing in terms of new information. Alba are being very professional as always. However, my general feeling after receiving and reading the e mail, was very optimistic indeed. Just my personal opinion of course.

Re emphasis on one shaft
Its all about the dewatering license as getting this will prove to the investors, the public, that Alba can mine in National Park Area with the full support of NRW. Its not at all just about the gold in this one shaft. I totally agree with other posts, Alba have many more irons in the fire, that will/may prove more valuable in the future. Also they have other ways to get at the gold in the shaft, I agree. As for Gold in Wales, getting European Protected Species License, will make getting many other permits and licensees easier going forward. Alba are mining in an area where you need a man with a badger dog by your side when ever you dig a hole. With out a EPS license, everything will be a huge struggle, and take more time or my not even been allowed. The publicity generated when Alba get this permit will be big, like it or not, its what everyone is waiting for who is watching Alba. Alba have made it clear how important they feel this permit is, they are determined to get it, it has become a point of principle and indeed it will be a defining moment in Alba history in terms of Welsh gold. Yes without it, Alba can continue and be very successful no doubt. In terms of the here and now and the share price its only about one thing the dreaded dewatering permit. Only my opinion of course, and I am still totally confident that the permit will come.

On dewatering, I think just a bit more patience needed.
When Alba issues the statement on dewatering in the 24 May RNS " The Company has now received feedback from NRW in respect of those revised submissions. This feedback is being considered currently and may require further data generation by the Company. The Company and its technical advisers remain confident that the Company will be successful in its bid to dewater the shaft. Further details will be advised once the Company has a better idea of the likely timeline to a formal determination" Alba had had the draft report in their hands for three weeks.
To say " The Company and its technical advisers remain confident that the Company will be successful in its bid to dewater the shaft" at this point is good enough for me. This is the point where they would have thrown the towel in if the draft report had been very negative for whatever reason. So now we await the " Further details will be advised once the Company has a better idea of the likely timeline to a formal determination"" Nothing more for Alba to do or say until they are ready to give the further details. Alba did give a vox interveiw after that RNS, they did not mention the dewatering, it was all about the waste tips. They do have to be mindful of the AIM rules on disclosure so they can not really comment anymore without good reason on the shaft. I do believe getting this license will be pivitol for Alba as a company and I do believe the share price is going to rocket when this news drops. Alba is on the starting grid revving its engine just waiting for the green light.

My last contact from Alba was on the 9 March 2022, I had been asking some questions on dewatering. They replied saying that they are "required to operate in accordance with the AIM listing rules" and were sorry they could not comment on that subject. That is also when they told me they would be a holding a Q and A session soon. I have e mailed them twice since then and received no reply. Previously I have always had a reply to any e mails I have sent to Alba. My following e mails did mention dewatering so not really surprised I received no reply.
My last contact with NRW was on the 19 may 2022, again Aim listing rules came into play so my contact with them has now stopped. I do know as I have said before that Alba received the draft report back from NRW on the 05 May 2022. Alba have now had that report for over a month.

I was wondering where our George was off to last week, when he did Alba's last Vox market interview from the Airport. I was sure he was not having a week away in Benidorm at such a critical time for Alba. So now we know he was attending the EIT Raw Materials Summit in Berlin , whilst Mark Austin continues to drive the de watering application. I would fully hope and expect an update of some sort on the dewatering next week as it will have been a month since the draft report was received. Just waiting for the Alba rocket to take off.....its exciting times.

On Dewatering, Alba need a European Protected Species License to get the permit. everything else is fine.
The feedback Alba received from NRW in the last RNS refers to the HRA document(Habitat Regulations Assessment) Alba now have to asses this feedback before applying for a European Protected Species License . Alba need the EPS license to get the water permit. The HRA is part of the application for the EPS license. Last time the feedback from the HRA told ALBA that more data was needed, this data would take months to get so Alba application failed due to the time it would take to get the data. Without the additional data, Alba application for the EPS would have failed, and this would mean no water permit.
So now Alba have the report from the Habitat Regulations Assessment sitting on their desk, in fact they got the draft report sent back to them three weeks ago. They are deciding if they need some more data before applying for the EPS. Once they get the EPS, the application for the water permit can applied for and be done and dusted. Its all very simple realy!! I won't say anymore about how confident I am that they will get the permit, I don't want to sound like a broken record anymore, I am happy with Georges confidence, and from what I know from my own research..
