The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
@Prentice, agreed its beautifull and Alba do not spoil the landscape in any way. Just to be clear, the mine site its self is NOT for visiting past the external boundry fences, you can look from afar, but under NO circumstances cross any of the set boundrys, this is Alba private property and we do not wnat want people trying to access the site. Not much to see on the site, all the good stuff is behind closed doors and inside tunnels.
@Herbet
Fantastic RNS today, it could not have been any better.
The visit to the mine was just me going along adhoc. I walked up to mine site, and just had a look from outside of the restricted area, although I know some stuff about what is inside the mine, I myself have never been in myself . I also visited the Alba office, and was lucky as a couple of people were working at the time. I was invited in and spent a good while talking to a very Knowledeable person. Alba's hospitality was great. I felt very welcome. They did not know who I was, just a shareholder.
These results are from shallow chip sampling that did not contain visible gold and have far exceded anything that Alba could have wished for. We know for fact, that below Level 4 is a potential huge gold target. Gold has already been intersected by drill in Level 4, now rock blasting will show us what its all about.
Also a bonous of historic piles of broken ore on No.4 Level that have been left in situ by previous operations. These piles represent a potential gold processing opportunity in advance of any planned new development. Someone on here said, miners would not leave gold lying around in the mine, well they did. Think "Mary Celeste" the mine was left like the workers had ended shift ready to go back the next day, they even had pre drilled holes for blasting. They did not go back.This is a fantastic RNS. Well done to GF .MA and all the Alba Team, great JOB!!
@followthevein.
Thank you for your comment and others for your support..
Alba will never be a mass producing gold mine, its the unique nature of the gold that will make the profits. To hear that( the once much miligned appointment on here)Vivien johnson Glass has been and is working hard for Alba to advance its commercial strategy and secure the best possible returns for for our gold, when it arrives, is pretty encouraging I would say. Her appointment in time will be seen as very shrewd.
Sorry to upset you Lee, you are an angry man. I thought people might appreciate the comments on the mine. Take your point on the way I write sometimes. I should of said, I have it from a trusted source that Vivian has been working hard doing what she had been employed for, this has to be a positive if you know what she dose. I don't wish to get into negative posts. It's not hype, it's facts. I will turn you green, and wish you all the best.
Having fully digested todays RNS, It would be genuinely inconceivable for Alba to put out such a bullish RNS without them "knowing stuff" Looking forward to the composites of the concentrates results, coming soon. I hear Vivien Johnston Glass has been working hard for us to. A great time to be an Alba share holder. I said it was anice RNS earlier but it was infact a fantastic RNS. Good weekend to all.
@Robbie No indication of when the results from the lab will be back . My hunch is, and this is just a hunch, is that they are back or just need finalising, I would not bet against an RNS with Lab results combined with announcement to when level 4 sampling proper begins. With the planning application for level 4 being granted either tomorrow or Monday, I would as you say.. expect an RNS very soon..
They do have an important purpose, the geologist know what they are doing and looking for, I just did not want people expecting bonanza gold grades, such as what could be found when on the gold vein.,the clumpy stuff so to speak.we already know the concentrates are rich in sulphites, this is already valuable information.
To answer another question. I don't do the photos, Facebook ect. Pics just for my own personal use. Was great to see the water being pumped from the mine into to the settlement tank and out into the river. The site look good, well maintained. Alba have also made part of the road up to the mine more accessable by surfacing it, nice job they have done and no small task.
To a question..your right, I can not divulge any confidential information, or information that may indirectly be classed as confidential. I did have a lengthy conversation with someone who knows what they are talking about. A word on the gold sampling results, we need to remember, what has been sent if to the lab is effectively wall scrapings, and due to the nature of our gold, the results from these samples, whilst indicators, they are not expected to be..wow ..look at all the gold. The max publicity will only come, when we have something worth shouting about.
Alot of green on my message board recently. Sorry I can not explain my reasons for my optimism , but it's genuine. I guess time will tell who is talking sense based on knowledge any who is not. As always DYOR.
Never felt more confident in GF and Alba than since yesterday and today, and I've been in a few years. Boy did that mine site look good today and the Welsh air smelt good. That's all from me tonight, oh and some wayward comments lately by some people who have no idea what they are talking about. Just have to laugh at them to be honest..
So while Alba are waiting on things that are now out of their controll they have been/are are busy finalising the development plans to bulk sample form below level 4 of Liechfraith Shaft, now it has been made safe and dewatered. Once permission is given, they should be ready to go.
The waiting list:
Waiting on the LPA to give the all clear to go ahead with bulk sampling below level 4. (21 days) working days would take this decision (22-25 March)
Waiting on Airbourn survey results/ report, consultans are working on this now. How long the wait? Anytime soon.
Waiting on LPA to give permission to start the trenching programe in the waste tip. How long the wait? Anytime soon we hope.
Waiting on lab results of concentrates for gold content from Level four wall rock sampling. How long the wait? Anytime soon we hope.
Make of this what you will..Im not worried. DYOR
How long before Alba announce they will produce and auction off a number of Welsh solid gold commemorative 1oz coins using gold from the test sampling and drilling? Around ten coins will do nicely. Most importantly it is great for publicity and that should of course boost the share price. This is tried and tested method and can also show Welsh Gold can attract a premium price, and produces a little bit of bonus cash in the process,. With our very own (much maligned on here in the past) specialist ‘mine-to-market’ supply chain consultant Vivien Johnston Glass directing this little project ( shes done it all before) it seems like a sure thing Alba will be going down this path in the near future . I say its the way to go, looking forward to seeing the GOLD coins.
