.....they should just say if you held shares on a certain date, without any notice you qualify for this special divi. That stops all the gold diggers at the last minute and maybe gives the real share holders a bigger slice of the cake - wishful thinking!!!

......no I don't think you would Billy - you would want to try and get some of that money back. In this game you learn quickly by your mistakes which can be expensive. When you have had a hit the first thing you want to do is get back in there and make it back - that's what makes it worth while and that's what makes it satisfying in the end knowing you can do it cos you will never make the same mistake!
