The market capitalisation of each company are totally different..there is no comparison..comparing share prices between two listed companies is meaningless

diluted number of shares in issue multiplied by current share price = mkt capitalisation

It's never wrong to slice some mate...even if the price roars away it's always nice to capitalise that cash just in case the price comes back..having the cash expands your options and frees up liquidity

I believe GGP is going to mining at Havieron and if Scally comes in then fook me but either way it's a brilliant company but for me I need cash to make me feel safe

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a highly collaborative leader to provide operational direction to the work teams ensuring our resources, capacity and our capability are aligned to the work plans. You will be safety focused, team oriented, enjoy continuous improvement and be willing to strive for results. Relationship building, drive and strategic thinking are second nature to you.

You will play a key role in establishing the Havieron Project for underground mine development from the later stages of the box-cut construction through to the commencement of the exploration decline.

You’ll assist in the development of an underground mining team capable of leading the next stages of mining at Havieron and show demonstrated experience managing underground contractors as well as all aspects of an underground mine. You’ll have;

A tertiary engineering qualification (mining or similar)
A Western Australia first class mine manager’s certificate of competency
A background in underground mine development and mining
Contractor Management essential as well as Drill and blast experience
Tunnelling/road header experience will be advantageous

A firm focus will be on teamwork and fostering the development of a team. We are looking for a strong communicator and influencer and someone who is familiar with working in a highly collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on innovation and best practise.

Who we’re looking for

The primary focus of this key role is to undertake geotechnical activities that are associated with the development and construction of the Havieron Project to support Newcrest’s growth strategy. You will play a key role in the Havieron Project Team and its success with both internal and external stakeholders and contractors, in order to safely and efficiently deliver the exploration decline to meet the requirements of the Havieron business plan.



As a degree (Bachelors or higher) qualified Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be an expert in underground mine development and operations in a variety of geotechnical environments. Your previous experience and ability to contribute to the deliver and successful outcomes for key programs and experience in any of the related geotechnical modelling and analysis software packages would be beneficial.
