You don't need to know much about the stock market to know when a stock comes into play. You can SEE it with your own eyes. The intra-day price will become active and remains active throughout the day. Moreover, volume (buying and selling interest) starts to increase.
Of course a stock in play can work in both directions. Long and bullish or short and bearish. Never be on the wrong side of that move! How do we avoid being on the wrong side of a move? Buy shares in companies with a future and companies that have room to grow and expand their equity.
We just need decent flow rates now from this well thingy Origin is drilling. If they come in then you struggle to buy. If they disappoint then it's gruel for tea
I wonder exactly what the market will be looking for when the news from Origin is announced regarding flow rates? What will deemed a success and prove the commerciality of our assets? I'm clueless on this aspect of resource investing. All that technical stuff (geology etc etc) goes way over my head though I do know if an asset (a discovery relating to gold, copper, oil, gas etc etc) is quality and value adding to a company's worth and that's all that matters to me
