The future for FOG after today's news and the analysis from Cenkos is far rosier than it's been for years. 2021 will reward FOG and by association its shareholders.

The hefty funding announcements last week from Canberra would have looked rather foolish if today's news had been a duster. Evidently, the government of Aus knew more than they were 'letting on'

The liquids change for the better the economics of this project and that's welcome considering the geo location of the licence

But to get around 500 Mscfd from the well under those conditions is pretty promising IMO. I think once they are finished flowing back and they are able to lower the bottom hole pressure, it should flow gas in the ballpark of the previous well, ie 1-2 MMscfd. Which isn't economic for a shale well in the middle of nowhere, but is a great start. They won't really know how good it is until they are able to run the extended production test.

The gas composition is good, and as expected. ORG are chasing liquids-rich gas with low CO2 and that's what they found, which means both the geochemistry and the thermal modelling is solid. The thermal modelling in particular is very difficult at this stage as it's very uncertain with so few data points and in such an old basin, so chances are they will find they are still not 100% in the ideal maturity location for this play. They will use the data from this to help plan the next stage of testing and hopefully make the incremental improvements needed to reach an economic flow rate.''

Gas Composition Data Confirm Kyalla Liquids Rich Gas Play

22 January 2021 - Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSXV: FO, AIM: FOG) is pleased
to announce the following update on the first gas composition data
obtained during the 17-hour unassisted flow period of the Kyalla 117
N2-1H ST2 well ("Kyalla 117") in the Beetaloo Sub-basin, Australia.

The initial analysis of natural gas by gas chromatography confirms a
liquids-rich gas stream low in CO(2) as follows:


-- C1 = 65.03 mol%

-- C2 = 18.72 mol%

-- C3 = 8.37 mol%

-- iC4 = 1.29 mol%

-- nC4 = 2.03 mol%

-- C5+ = 2.73 mol%

-- CO2 = 0.91 mol%

-- N2 = 0.92 mol%


The elevated C(3) + gas component of 14.42 mol%, which meets our
pre-drill expectations, confirms the Lower Kyalla Shale as a
liquids-rich gas play. Gas composition data also support the view that
the Kyalla gas stream will have elevated LPG and condensate yields.

As announced on 19 January 2021, longer term measures will be put in
place to flow back sufficient hydraulic fracture stimulation water to
allow the Kyalla 117 to flow continually without assistance. This work
is expected to commence at the start of the dry season in Q2 2021 and if
successful will allow an extended production test ("EPT") of between 60
and 90 days to commence.

Philip O'Quigley (CEO of Falcon) commented:

"The initial gas composition data are very encouraging providing a
strong indication for the liquids rich gas play in the Kyalla formation.
We will update the market when operations recommence at Kyalla 117 at
the beginning of the dry season in Q2 2021."

Mather's been forced out, simple. He's been left with no choice but to step down. He's been forced by someone into taking a decision he doesn't agree with, under duress. So who exactly is this 'someone'? It can only be BHP and Newcrest who are now no doubt bringing their weight to bear on proceedings.

Mather's interim is a stop gap with zero power. BHP and Newcrest are now pulling the strings. If they weren't Mather would still be CEO.

For SOLG to move forward they now need funding and major expertise. Step forward the two majors. We await their response to Mather's departure and to see what they have in store
