Amongst all this talk of raising funds and the word dilution being mentioned, I t’s worth remembering a couple of things or more:
What happened when the BoD raised funds last time? Well, that was when £5M was raised by new shares to the HNWIs and the SP rose considerably.
What happened when Sierra raised funds to progress Momelotenib thru’ trials? - Firstly a $100M placement in Nov ‘19: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/sierra-oncology-announces-closing-of-103-million-public-offering-and-changes-to-its-board-of-directors-300965034.html and yes the SRRA SP spiked then remained buoyant.
Then a second placement in Feb ‘22 (approx $150M from memory) was followed by the SP rapidlly increasing. Shame we can’t do attachments as I have screenshots of this, but you can go check the SP for yourself on charting sites for those dates.
That’s an interesting question - there must be some rules around this?
Presumably once a broker is informed of a death they have a process to follow? And there would need to be a valuation established for probate purposes - which would have to be a fixed value. I don’t think have a probate with a variable! And that’s even before you get to the will or any other dividing up of the estate between beneficiaries.
So I wonder if death of a shareholder forces sale of shares? I’ve been an executor but neither of the estates had any shares, it was all cash and property.
Does anyone have specific knowledge?
Aye, +1 for the good summary, Laz.
So, here’s an interesting observation. Negative people usually quote the Google price when moaning about an SP drop because it often exaggerates the price drop (as it uses the last traded price instead of the mid point). But today, Google shows -3.26% whilst LSE and others that (correctly) user the mid-point show -4.65%.
So, which figure does a negative person use? Well, not google today! Today, that negative person has not only chosen the larger of the two, but that person has also chosen to round it up.
It’s the sort of behaviour that a corrupt politician would use, it’s abusing statistics to prove a point.
I smell a rat.
P.S. unconnected with the above: nice to see you in a more positive frame of mind potnak.
I haven’t read anything from you that warranted deletion!
On the other hand, I’ve reported another member this morning for attempting to orchestrate a campaign of abuse against three other members. I urge all other members to do the same. You know who it is and you know which thread it is. In case you don’t, it’s the first post of the thread titled “summary”.
Have a lovely day and good luck all.
Yep. All was answered in the last Investor Meets Company Q&A transcript which is there in black and white for people to refer to.
Q16 is a full answer.
It’s a shame that people have such short memories as this was discussed at length at the time.
But hey, let your emotions get the better of you and allow FUD to take over! Let’s just keep to the facts, no need to go asking non-experts and politicians to re-interpret what we’ve had under microscopic analysis for months.
An RNS is “regulated” (clue is in the name) which means that there is a duty and a legal obligation for it to be correct.
The big story at the moment is politicians, and one in particular, who was the owner and upholder of the Ministerial Code, lying.
Go figure….
I’m amazed that you guys are literally flogging a dead horse, and yes, that refers to horse 1!
Parker has already answered the very question you’re emailing him about.
As for wasting money in a postal service that doesn’t exist any more, words fail me.
(It’s called special delivery nowadays).
you really should listen to Krone. He gave you very good advice.
Seems to me that this paper contradicts itself.
It states that 20347 is non-selective yet references a source that states that 20347 *is* selective.
We all of course know that 20347 aka 1801 is indeed selective.

Presumably they didn’t know whether to forward it to Michael Green, Corrine Stockheath or Sebastian Fox!
