RE: Oh well22 Mar 2021 19:57
Oh well , yes , we've been waiting for a cracking RNS to shoot us up , but this one didn't do it today .
12-16% is always nice , but not what we deserved .
But in fairness , the RNS was just confirmation that Bex works to the degree that it was supposed to .
So from 67 patients - over 100 days - 48 end up dead ( 71% overall ) . You can't really sugar coat the fact that we are dealing with some very ill people here .
We can assume from what Markku has said before , that many of these patients will have had multiple therapies already which will have worn down their immune system , and who are pretty much having the last throw of the dice .
So in a trial where only 29% lived , almost half of those were receptive to Bexmarilimab , and those that did also pretty much all lived ( at least to the end of the trial ). Whether that will explain that the ones who died were in such a bad way that they were almost beyond saving , and that Bex works more effectively when given earlier in the treatment stages , who knows , but I guess that would apply to pretty much all therapies .
They slipped in that the Uveal cohort didn't show much efficacy - that was a disappointment , as Markku had sounded quite upbeat on that one in previous interviews .
But the fact that we now have 6 , and counting , cohorts that have showed excellent results , with 3 still to go , and now the increased frequency and dosing to add to the mix , it it sure gathering pace .
They are excited -
So , its left to us to ponder whether the market didn't really get it , or that we've had so many promises of Shareholder value , that the market is going to want to see some $ valuations in an RNS before it takes the handbrake off . And that's fair enough .
CFO Toni is excited , lets hope it's because he can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel , and is looking forward to the day when he can check the Faron bank account , and has to resize the screen cos theres too many noughts .
