I do not compare Prem Watsa and Warren Buffett. Warren Buffett does not charge a 2%/20% commission on the investments he manages, while Fairfax investment vehicles such as Fairfax India Holdings do pay a significant management fee of 2/20.
they have been clear in that they give dividend whenever they think they have "excess cash" and therefore do not follow a pattern, so there is your answer.
not sure what the RNS was about since BG already had a 7.3% by the end of May 2021 (in the FY2021 full year report), but positive nevertheless.
The sales held extremely well during the great financial crisis, happy to buy from someone pannicking now. Good luck rotating into commodities and oil & gas, that has always worked out to protect against a recession.
simplywallstreet is a website that automatically analizes a few data points, created for a beginner and novice person. the nature of GROW.L means it will screen poorly, either too well or too negatively, vs the rest of the market. I would not even bother looking at it if you know the conclusions you are going to find are misleading and inaccurate.
on less than average volume (so far)
was not my intention to be right! I wish the largest prediction had been right
I don't even know what I am doing reading this message borad if someone is selling because of "the trend from here" after the share price being +9% over 30 days. What type of meaninful analysis of the business is going to appear from such as short-term oriented mentality?
happy holidays from me as well! you've helped me a lot to understand the portfolio of #GROW
I have the consensus 8.3% revenue growth for FY2022, and around 5 to 6% of EBIT/net income growth for FY2022 too. My source is Tikr, I am not paying for Stockopedia/Bloomberg/etc.
Thought Machine was valued at around $220-320 million in the previous round (read on Techcrunch), which implies something between a 3x and 4x the value increase ??
if GAW valuation is "aggresive growth style" at 24-25x P/E, what is the valuation that you consider to be the right one for its style? Just 16x P/E like the FTSE 250 index is at right now?
I wonder if we will get a Freetrade crowdfunding update since Freetrade did announce on Tuesday 23, out of the blue, that they would do another round of crowdfunding from Wednesday 24th. The implied valuation of the oversubscribed 8 times on the first day of crowdfunding round imply a valuation of £650m up from £270m (+240% since March 2021 Series B).
Hello.
Could you mention the name of the website differently please? The URL got censored.
I have a Freetrade account and got the crowdfunding alert, which is open to private investors.
I still see the market for M&A and private transactions extremely hot, so the valuations of the companies it is invested in are not unreasonable.
