Well .... not seen anything to persuade me to part with my shares - just a series of ruthless and incompetent shenanigans designed to undervalue my investment. So, it's still a hold from me.
Best wishes,
saurus
OK, just for the crack .... but can you make accurate predictions of the price action of 5 shares whilst wearing a blindfold; standing on one leg on a moving rocking horse with one hand tied behind your back; and at the same time singing along to the soundtrack of Queen 'We are the Champions'?
Then I'll be impressed .... anything else sounds like lucky guesswork.
Not a fan of share buybacks as they do little for private investors but do benefit board members who are already very well rewarded. So, ultimately those with the power are voting in their own interests.
Morning Mr A,
You beat me to it but I'll post this any way as a test to see if posting links from Stockopedia will come through.
Thank you for enquiring about Alfie our Labrador. Finally got a diagnosis after taking him to see a heart specialist. He has a heart muscle disease called Dilated Cardiomyopathy, or DCM. This is where the heart muscle becomes weak and thin. He also has a leaky valve. He's on medication now which has made an enormous difference and he's now eating and fast losing the hollowed out that he had from being so unwell. It's a serious condition and we'll have to see how he goes over the next few weeks. He's then going to have a portable heart monitor fitted for 4 days to fine tune his medication. As you can imagine, vet bills have been quite hefty so very grateful my share dealing activities has covered it all.
All the best my friend,
saurus

Hello again LeeRex,
If |I remember right you've been a LTH for quite a while so good to hear you're back in profit. I'm out now but happy for the profit net to spread a bit wider before buying in again.
All the best,
saurus
Thought about it once or twice but never tried spread betting or any type of leverage vehicle, mainly because it has a low success rate and although large gains can be made, it's also possible to lose a lot. There was someone on the Kaz Mineral bb last year who took such a risk and ended up having to remortgage his house and turn to extended family and friends for help because he guessed the price movement wrong with devastating consequences. He gave a very humble and moving account of his situation and said he'd thought of taking his own life. So, please think carefully about wishing ill luck on someone else Lucia. Perhaps you're just having a bad day and feel a bit frustrated; we all have them but it doesn't do you any good either to dwell on such negative thoughts; so please take care.
As for banks, in my experience most have ruthless business models. It's the nature of how they operate and why most have a long history of having to pay fines and penalties for sharp and iffy business dealings. That said, most large corporations imv also operate ruthless business models.
All the best,
saurus
Evening Mr A, apologies for my late reply and thank you for your kind words. I have the highest regard for the time and effort you put into shaping this board and I'm sure most posters would agree your stewardship has helped to create a friendly, informative and positive board where for the most part views are exchanged in a respectful way. Yes, we get the occasional troll but one off trolling tends to get ignored and the more persistent dealt with politely which usually has better results as it doesn't provide 'the rise' that's desired.
Alfie underwent further investigations via anaesthesia last week that show he has an enlarged heart but nothing to explain his gastric problems. He's seeing a Cardiologist next Thursday to have a detailed heart scan and a Gastric specialist the week after. Hopefully things will improve once we have a clearer understanding what the problem is.
We've both ridden the Barclay wave and done very well from it my friend as have many others on this board. I do feel for long term holders though who have waited a long time for this share price to recover. So, I really hope they are able to make some profit as well. I'm out now but bought and sold 8 tranches in the past week which I wasn't really expecting but felt on balance the opportunity was there so took it.
A few months ago I took out a subscription with Stockopedia for it's research, share information and tools but haven't had a chance yet to look at the site in more detail. Hopefully, when I have more time I'll be able to post some of it's articles.
All the best my friend,
saurus
Morning all,
Always pleased to hear folk making good profits and for the most part, enjoy reading the experiences folk have had with this share. For my part, sold my last tranche yesterday at £1.59 and 3 other tranches in the past week between £152 - 1.57. Also done some day, 2/3 day trading which has been very successful. I never expect to buy at the bottom or sell at the top but happy to bank some excellent profits for our ISA accounts.
It's been a really good rise in a short space of time again but as we know, this share can and does turn on a sixpence which is what makes it such a good yo - yo share and so good for trading it's price range. On balance though, decided the risk reward pointed towards selling our core holding and instead watching carefully for opportunities for day or very short term trading as don't want to get caught out. Always remind myself that a paper profit is just that and can disappear as quickly as Alfie (our Labrador) can woof down a bowl of chicken. It's not a profit until I press the sell button and bank profits.
For those still holding, I wish you the very best of luck and for existing holders who have had to wait a long time for the price to recover, may you soon be in a position where you are also showing a profit.
Good luck everyone,
saurus
Thank you Mr A and everyone who previously sent condolences. Sadly 2 more relatives have passed on since then including both in-laws within weeks of each other in Nov and Dec and another also in Dec making a loss of 5 family members in just over a year. Tragically 2 were under the age of 30yrs with young children. The level of loss has been staggering!
Alfie our much loved 11yr old Labrador has also been very poorly and is being admitted for tests tomorrow to hopefully pin point what the problem is. So understandably, it's a been and continues to be a difficult time.
Best wishes,
saurus
Well done Mr A. Your success is much deserved my friend.
Haven't been on the boards in a while owing to family bereavement and illness but hope to resume posting. From memory there's one poster I owe a reply to and will try to track him or her down over the next few days.
As always thank you for your friendly, informative and helpful stewardship.
Best wishes,
saurus
Good Evening Wmmg,
Don't recall exchanging posts with you previously, so hello!
Folk sometimes make claims that turn out to be nonsense so no problem in answering your questions especially, as I keep records which can be verified. However, but bit pushed for time at the moment as not long back from a family funeral and have a meeting at 7pm (via zoom) to prepare for.
Will try and post again later. In the meantime, if you have a chance to check out my posting history, I've explained why market volatility has caused me to change my investment/trading style.
Chat soon,
saurus
Thank you for your replies.
Most Indices and stocks should feel the benefit of the outcome of the US election being declared when markets open despite the Drama-Rama continuing to be played out in the courts! Forget the exact wording but in investing terms think it's described as a 'raise all boats' or 'float all boats' outcome.
Good luck for tomorrow everyone
saurus
If folk are interested they can take a look themselves and make up their own mind.
Ah ..... makes me sound like the Oracle character from the Matrix film with a similar word for reservoir omitted ha, ha!
