I think you've missed the context of Tilly's post!
From a personal point of view, due to the government's complacency with the dire situation millions now face wondering how they are going to survive during the present circumstances created by the government.
Have only succeeded in creating hardship to hard working people, there's 8.2 million part time workers in the UK I was one've them as I have had to come out of semi retirement because £500 on fuel & gas & £320 in rent leaves minus £20 as I was only earning £800 per month.
We are also facing the possibility of going into recession, so now full time workers will also be fretting as to wether they too will lose their jobs , together with the ability to keep a roof over their heads.
I have fortunately secured full time employment because I was beside myself with worry as to how I was going to survive.
The government are so detached from reality & haven't done a dam thing to allay any fears, millions have in the UK.
I have worked all my life & have had to endure real hardship by losing my job during recessions .
Where I live some people have never worked in the 20 odd years I have lived here.
They're professional Shirkers
I saw one've my neighbours, who has a mobility scooter, I saw him in the off licence with 2 of those heavy duty carrier bags full of booze! He didn't wince when he lifted those bags from the counter & walked quite ably to load up outside. He also has 3/4 holidays a year has the full sky package & his kids have all the designer chav clothing.
These are the type of people Tilly is referring to.
