I actually spoke to the ceo on this in June and said it sent a poor message when no date is given and that they have stressed they want to sort out US bottling first. I thought it had been taken down but seems it may have reappeared. Re US bottling I hear from a friend in NZ commercial discussions on going and an announcement will be mad 'in due course' but they are on target for announcement q3. I think they are actually late if that is the case. He has contacts in the company and has been correct before but I have no way of knowing if this is true. However it leaves me less than impressed. No updates on anything, no director buys given weakness of share price. I have reduced holding and took a hit. Trying to decide if I cut my losses . Really needs something from the company but they give the impression couldn't care less about the share price and London listing. One thing is certain , I will not be touching a NZ company again !
Interesting Trek, am planning to add here but post Thursdays interest rate rise when I think that together with todays Feds rise may lead to a market correction when reality starts to bite. Am trying to very much target quarterly players of well managed companies. Have really gone large on Taylor Maritime . Interesting times there with their bid for Grindrod. Would recommend a look and study. Bst rgds as always ps . Re oil Biden has drawn down massively on strategic reserve to try and keep prices low. Given the international political situation, a foolish move in my book.
In last few days Grindrod have put out a very lengthy and detailed document explaining what went on prior to and including accepting the Taylor bid. Lots of details but interesting that they had two other unnamed companies involved who were offering more . Admittedly were trying to attach potentially unattractive protocols to their bids but was left with a very strong view after reading this that this will be a huge coup for TMI if successful with a very substantial rerate post . The bid involving no share dilution and the debt from it being paid down quickly. I added , again, yesterday. Very very positive. vets are paying up so will also add more again in next couple of days
I am with Interactive Investor who have totally mucked up mu profits and losses regarding this share. Would anyone be so kind as to tell me the last price of GSK shares prior to the split ? Thank you so much
I had, and still hope to have, high hopes in this company but am beginning to be a little frustrated with them. In the last accounts they are using up money at a rate of knots for all the reasons we understand . The next key event is local US bottling promised by the third quarter. No sign yet although at the agm they said they had a preferred candidate agreed in June !. Whilst I understand why the low calorie was introduced, to go to all the cost of design and packaging for a Christmas special I find questionable in the extreme. We will end up having more flavours than fever tree but no money ! Some news, any news , would be welcome, and still seeing coming soon to UK on the site month in month out might be nice to actually have some timeframes. It needs to raise its game and communications in my book. Sorry for the frustration and for the record I still hold a sizable holding. Would also have given some confidence to see some director buys at these depressed prices...... but none !!! The jury is now out as far as I am concerned
Only came upon this company recently and was really impressed with it and the CEO. Made an investment and then actually increased it. Very pleased I did as the more I study investments the more I believe that no matter the story or product, the role of CEO and who fills that position is absolutely key to a company's success. Fingers crossed they can close the new contracts and good luck all.
Hi Krusty, the presentation essentially reflected the rsn. However, the really big point in conversation was that any loans to support the Acquistion will be of 18 months duration but the target is to fully repay loans in 12 to six month's from income of the new larger company !! That they also have other future plans re building the company up to not least increase shareholder value hence the wish to repay any loan at speed. I have to say I was left hugely impressed by the whole thing. They are even positioning vessels near the usa on short charters to then take advantage of rising rates as grain deliveries start up. Apparently the Missisippi is very low at present ! The ambition of this company shines through and this is really early days for it. Very exciting times . I have bought more as think a bargain at these prices and with the quarterly dividend.
Agreed especially re divs. Competitor companies have reported excellent results so am quietly confident. Conference call at 10 am tomorrow which I have registered for. Papers only go out re Acquistion Oct 28 so very doubtful any update.
I entirely agree .... and continuing to build a substantial nest egg for new acquisitions. I also agree re the dividend. Whilst I want to see the company grow I think they can probably afford an increase to please shareholders and still have a very substantial fund left for acquisitions.
They have sold two ships at a really good profit from a fairly recent buy . I will be interested to see what you conclude. Please let me and others know. I am invested and rate the company highly, especially given the propsed acquistion
One of the major shareholders in the company have been reducing their holding. A large seller has been operating for months which is why the share price has not moved despite healthy buys and this would perhaps be them . Hopefully the rns means that they have now stopped and this together with forthcoming news on us bottling will start to send the share price higher
Hi, nice to see someone else here as a very quite board. I like this company a lot. Was really impressed with the CEO during the results presentation and q and a . Also impressed yesterday with the team in the presentation and q and a. I personally think they are getting a good buy which will double value of company which will then be reflected in share price. Also charters are full for this year and advanced for next for both companies so debt should fall quickly. I went the dollar route as felt pound was going to falll. I also think it has further to fall. Also for some unknown reason interactive investor would not let me buy the shares in pounds. I believe the only site where this happens. I sold my grindrod shares yesterday and put into taylor. They have to get to plus 50 percent of shares for the offer to succeed. They are guaranteed at the moment 37 per cent and therefore should reach it with grindrod board supportive. Papers go out Oct 28 and they are hoping to be concluded by pre Christmas. In the meantime a new dividend not that far off
A great start and indeed looks like company is going to double in size. Great if the deal concludes. I have gone for dividends in dollars. Sadly think a stronger currency to have right now and have been putting funds into dollar stocks rather than pound one's given the economic and political situation in UK
