I suspect the price will not go above 130p until 23rd of October. The new shareholders are buying at the moment to get entitled for 32p. The old shareholders have to buy the RI option for 32p or to sell shares before 23rd of October with huge losses. I suspect this is the RR game how to take money for old and new shareholders. Practically RR is worth it - (minus) 3-5 billion pounds.
If I am right, I could lose around 68000 pounds. If I sell before 23rd of October I will lose 51000 pounds. If I stay with the RR and buy the RI - I will spend another 18000 pounds to purchase around new 60000 shares.

If you are entitled (owning at average price of 400p) and do not want to buy Warren East NEW SHARES, your OLD RR shares will be worth it after 27th of Oct - 54p or less. Am I right? RR. is the only company in the whole aviation engineering sector which suffered such a huge losses in value. The company should erect the sculpture of Warren East in front of the HQ.

Can somebody help me ?

I inherited 17 thousand shares ((average 405p). If I sell them on Monday it will be loss more than 50 thousand pounds. In my case, this is in my non-ISA investment account. Can I declare losses in my next tax return 2020/21? Will I be still entitled to buy shares for 32p?

41% discount of 54p = 32 p

In Germany, this calculation would be called Warren East bull....

This discount is based on 30th of September when the price was 130p.
If you do calculation with the current price of 105p, the new shares should be bought for 25p to have the same discount.

130 p x 3 = 390 pppp
32 p x 10 = 320 p
320 + 390 = 710 p ÷ 13 = 54 p

40% discount on 54p is around 32p

Completely lack of clear strategy is what has depressed the share price. BODs and CEO should be rated too like junk.

The Covid 19 is not the primary cause of this disaster. The disease is inside the company.

To be straightforward, RR is a bull... company with a bull.... program, because a bull.... BODs with CEO could not predict anything . Who wants to be RR shareholder except redundant and retired RR staff? EVERY DAY, you can read 100 messages in RR chat. Ridiculous! I inherited this crap from my parents who had kind of faith in British business!? They were so naive. You can't do your own research for British companies, because they lie all the time for decades.

The war is a significant factor behind economic growth of the Western world. The world just hasn’t had that much warfare lately, at least not by historical standards. RR type of company needs a war. One of the
explanation of slow growth is the persistence and expectation of peace. Trump has not made any war. Nobel prize winner for PEACE, Barack Obama, made a mess in the North Africa etc.

RR needs an expensive war (another equivalent to Iraq and Afghanistan).

This reminds of another iconic British company called MARCONI.
