This is the price I thought we would sell at….Good to see
Fruits are you accepting the bet? It’s a straight forward yes or no. You have made serious accusations on a public forum. If you believed you were right you would accept odds of 3:1 . Last chance
And if I go through this process are you all going to pay me damages ?
I doubt it . That is why I like this crisp bet . One fact. My PhD thesis describes administering IFN by a nebuliser. If that is true then on to was an interferonologist. Yo can read the whole thesis if you want. I am prepared to bet 100,000 but if that is too much 10,000 and I will give you 3:1
That is not an answer to my question. Are you taking the bet. I will provide my PhD to a solicitor for your inspection. Tracking down the PhD and reading it before deciding to take the bet is not the way these things work
Fruits - this is the quietest you have been for a while. We are all waiting. You have made serious libellous allegations and I am now inviting you to take this bet. Are you a man or a mouse?
“Enough people have stated that they remember you being caught in your own lies about using nebulisers when they hadn't yet been used by Dr. Tyrell”
This is what you stated. Are you accepting that I administered IFN by a nebuliser in the 1980s or taking the bet?
Man up tough guy
Come on guys I am deadly serious about this. It’s a bet on my authenticity. Will you take the bet? Legally binding. You say that I did not use a nebuliser. My bound PdD thesis records this .
Fruits I did use a nebuliser to administer IFNs in Cambridge on calves and in humans. You can buy nebulisers off the shelf. They are used by asthmatics.
Why is this surprising to you and why would anyone chose to make this up.
How about a bet? I bet you £100,000 my PhD records this work. You can come and inspect it and we can invite a third party to solicitor to verify this.
Fruits - I don’t know why I bother… but for clarification I am an interferonologist - or rather was- but I am not and never have been a trader - whatever that means.
I am not sure what this discrepancy about dates is but if you let me know I can explain
A - yes I have worked on a number of patent disputes as the owner of patents and as an expert witness in court. But I am not an expert
Doc - seeing as you ask..
On balance I would expect not to get my 15 p back but equally if there is some better data emerging it could triple easily and with a bit of hype even more.
My own view is there is a role for IFN in old peoples homes, hospitals etc in the face of an outbreak. This is a strategy that was used in cattle when there were pneumonia outbreaks in herds. IFN works really well as a short term prophylactic.
Jint - that is really not how the patent system works. Formulation patents are rarely successfully enforced in the UK. Europe the same. If you look at UK patents court judgments over the last 30 years, I cannot think of more than one being successfully enforced. Product patents per se patents are more robust.
Doc D - are you really a physician btw?
You ask a question why do I post on this board when I don't own any shares. First I do own a few shares. I bought a few when the price was around 15p.
Second I must correct you when you say I said IFNs do not work. Of course they work, that is why we produce endogenous IFNS. And in the clinic - I worked mostly on herpes and RSV - we usually observe a statistical significant weak effect: the earlier the intervention the stronger the effect. But it was not strong enough to commercialise a product - at least that was our view. That is why I suggested the P3 results would only show a weak or marginal effect.
The more substantive answer to your question is that I saw a message on here from a man who said he had put all his savings into Syn and had not told his wife. Comments on the board were all about how this was going to change the face of the clinical treatment of viral disease and covid in particular. I spoke to one of the physician at So'ton and read the P2 paper - being intrigued by theses suggestions.
My view was the data was not particularly strong (I have been doing this a long time) and thought it appropriate to warn investors that P3 may well be marginal. I also explained I had worked in the field. My motivation was to inform people. People who were being influenced by the hype and might be interested in the alternative point of view. People just hurled abuse at me. The abuse continues to this day. Nobody asked me follow up questions. I offered to speak to anyone who was interested but I got the impression people were just interested in views which reinforced the views already being expressed.
That is the reason. The reason for my last post was that Mr Costs asked a question and I was responding to that. Should I seek your permission before doing this in future?
PS the people who keep saying there are patents: there are only formulation patents not patents to IFN. IFN per se is not patented. The patents for recombinant IFN were owned by Biogen and have expired
How has it been proven that I am a liar? I was at Cambridge dept of clinical medicine 86-87; Salisbury 87-89; ILRAD 89-92 (Nairobi); SKB/ GSK 93 - 99; Cambridge again 2000-2007…
What in your wildest imagination makes you assert this is not true. I use social media very little but hear on the radio that this sort of thing goes on and it impacts people’s mental health.Unpleasant people making unfounded allegations.
I make no complaint to those who think I am wrong but I find it unnecessarily unpleasant that people should hide behind a forum like this to insult and make false allegations
