Mr Bertmonkey,
I am guessing you have never sold a company before. It’s not easy. You really can only make demands/ set limits if you know you have more than one firm bid . And then if one drops out it can be messy. I have had my fingers burned before

It is rude to call someone bitter and twisted. I really have nothing to be bitter and twisted about: I have been incredibly lucky in life but that is not the point. I have insulted no-one and expressed no bitterness on this board and I see no reason for you to insult me just because I am an elderly lady expressing a contrary opinion
My motivation is that I had been discussing Synairgen with friends at Southampton Hospital. They seemed upbeat and told me the share price was high. I looked at the message board here out of curiosity to see if there was any interesting info. I was struck by a message from a man who said he had just invested a huge slug more that he could not really afford and had not told his wife. That mood of the board seemed relentlessly positive and seemed to think this was new and revolutionary technology - which of course it is not. I found it very worrying that people might lose their savings.
I then studied the phase II data and was not particularly impressed - it was just what I would have expected from the work we did, presented in a favourable way. I thought it might be helpful to explain that there was another perspective and that everything that was being written was not accurate and that these phase III results could well be marginal
People really hate me for saying this.
IFN has been used and hyped for decades. It has made drug companies a lot of money. It was a leading therapy for Hep B even though the data was marginal because there was no alternative therapy. Now there is tenofovir no-one really uses IFN anymore because tenofovir really works. Nothing marginal about it.
People can disagree but I think hearing different perspectives is helpful
Yes back again. Btw guys IFN is not new and changes in technology prob are of marginal relevance. All animals and even some plants have IFN.
I feel it appropriate to warn people of the other point of view every few months. We have some phenomenal antivirals these days and it is difficult to see a place for IFN at the moment in my opinion.
