That's not correct Fox. Stops should definitely not be used on volatile stocks or ones where there is a risk of a sudden drops. When a share drops dramatically you will never get the price that you set the loss and and will get much lower. Many got caught out on EUA a few years back when it dropped from high 20's (I think) down to around 14p. Many holders had stops in at over 20 and nearly all of them got 14p. Stops should be reserved for FTSE100 or 250.
