Prior to vaccine announcement I felt antigen was priority, now it seems that Antibody could be the one we really need. Before we know it vaccines will be upon us and they’ll need these tests sooner than we all think.

If Mologic are not on the list tomorrow it’s not the end of the world. TT is still on for end of month and maybe in the next round Mologic will be considered... and who knows we may just end up maxing capacity on antibody tests.

Don’t forget this is the Pfizer vaccine, Oxford announcement according to the BBC isn’t far off. RTC test is compatible with that vaccine and is also in the brochure.

I’ve always said first few past the post wins, I never bought that theory that there is enough for everyone.

Myles McNulty who is a good Twitter poster has basically said the same thing, it’s survival of the fittest. And he has given ODX a plug for their antibody test.

For us old timers in ODX it looks like we are going to plan A. Antibody tests will be needed for the vaccine and testing for when the antibodies diminish.

It’s plausible,

Imagine mandating an antibody test or three for every vaccine sold. They would make more money on tests than vaccines.

If vaccines are truly imminent (they aren’t but let’s pretend they are) and our antibody test(s) are found to be useful ODX will see significant interest, not only from the UK but worldwide.

At that point I don’t even think they would need to concern themselves with the Mologic Antigen LFT. That’s the beauty about ODX. We can swap n change to suit the market.

If they find the Mologic test works better with certain vaccines we can flip it there too.

We can change to suit the market demand, and are the only company that can do that.

What seems apparent is they know it triggers a response in most people, but they don’t know much else.

Basically their bandwidth is pretty crap. And to protect their other services that run on the same platform they pull the forum. If they left it going the paid services such as L2 would grind to a halt.

Do you fall asleep after 8am, basically on most days between 8-9:30 the forum goes offline.

They pull it because it cannot sustain the traffic that is coming to it. If they left it running it would grind to a halt and cause more issues. So when it goes offline it’s intentional.
