Job Description:

The Liaisoning Officer - will act as the primary interface between Esyasoft and local government bodies, electricity departments, DISCOMs, vendors, contractors, and community stakeholders. The role requires strong communication skills in Konkani, especially for coordination across villages, municipal bodies, and field teams in Goa / Konkan region.

Considering the history of this particular tender (constant delays, 9 deadline extensions, postponements, cancellations, re-tenders), the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) look like a bunch of amateurs. Amazing, when you consider what's actually at stake...

A monster tender for in excess of 30 million (30,506,669) smart meters. Broken down into 6 packages (zones).

Chennai - 4,954,054

Coimbatore - 5,647,961

Kancheepuram - 4,961,441

Karur - 4,998,316

Tiruchy - 4,967,022

Madurai - 4,977,875

The corporation had planned to complete the negotiation process & finalise the tenders before the first week of September this year but no news as yet. Its believed that they have received around 50 bids in total across the 6 tender packages.

If the Goa Amisp contract was worth £70m for 750,000 smart meters & these awards are in a similar ball park then the maths look astounding for the 6 winning Amisps. Due to our long history in Tamil Nadu, I'm pretty sure CC will be included in some of the bids.......but have they led a bid for an Amisp role ?

Because the Micro assets are now in the hands of the Liquidator ? It might go some way to explaining the lack of TR1s.....??

I'm guessing that there's nothing to stop them purchasing Cyan shares for the Diverse Income Trust. Their liquidated Micro Fund selling Cyan shares is a separate entity. How ironic that would be, buying & selling CC at the same time ?

I've been thinking since before the Finals were released that it could be Axia who are buying more. No evidence to support this, I just wouldn't be surprised. It certainly helps having a designated NED who is currently head of communications.

Does the RNS from 21st July go some way to explaining it ? It states the Project is fully resourced. Have they outsourced everything to Esyasoft ?

The Miton UK MicroCap Trust (MINI) was wound up with an end date for investors to act by April 8, 2025. The effective date of the liquidation occurred on May 21, 2025 so I'm assuming that the redemptions started to occur shortly after that.

Last years totally underwhelming final results were released on 23 July this year.

On top of those 2 things; theres also been rumours regarding a possible partial sell off by another significant holder, Herald. True or false, who knows?

I have felt however that during this period of constant selling that theres been an entity buying very significant tranches of shares. Now, not withstanding the significant purchases by messrs Tresize and Gough, my gut feeling still tells me there's an active buyer in addition to them. It's merely based on observatioons of the daily reported trades over the last 5-6 months. When released, the TR1 forms will clear these matters up once and for all.

Im just wondering if any of this is related...or maybe not ??

Several reports over the last few days that the Nigerian government plans to install 7 million smart meters to improve revenue collection. The Minister of Power states that only 100,000 meters have been installed as he sets a 5-year target for 7m.

Now going back in time to 4th August 2021 & a Cyanconnode RNS about African Smart Metering Deployment.

CyanConnode will supply 100,000 Omnimesh Modules together with Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Services, Omnimesh Head-End Software, Perpetual License and an Annual Maintenance Contract.

John Cronin, Executive Chairman, commented:

Fast forward to 2025 and the Cyan map showing "countries operating in". The only African country indicated on that map is Nigeria.

On the subject of Esyasoft; they've just posted a job vacancy for Software Delivery Lead in Azerbaijan. No specific details in the job criteria but could possibly be linked to the gas smart meter project they are undertaking.....and hopefully the "near term" opportunity that Cyan referred to ??

No, unfortunately I don't have a link. I just in a relationship search for smart lighting in India and that information came up, so it could be old news.

What's not lost on me though is the ramifications for that if it's correct. Dholera Smart City appears to be a brand new build from ground up, ncorporating a whole host of technologies. If CC are involved someway (with Esyasoft) in the design and implementation of a brand new smart city then it may not result in increased income immediately but the very fact that they have experience of this, would (I think) increase the underlying value / worth of the company should it come to be sold. It's definitely CV enhancing if it's correct.

Now owns 18,000,000. Previous holding was 16,167,000. Do the maths !!
