Yes testing kits are widely available in Germany I believe, not so here at a reasonable cost.
You cannot have one without the other to be successful. Antivaxers , that’s where public information comes in. Getting the public onside is all about openness and trust. That is not going to happen if you have information blackouts.
I see a political shambles as the main danger in getting through the pandemic, antivaxers will come onside when they realise they will always be vulnerable if they do not have the vaccine.
Fortunately we do not have the numbers of antivaxers the they have on the continent.
Is anyone as angry as me about the govt. & media coverage of the pandemic? The govt. & the media seem to go to great lengths to avoid mentioning tests. Matt Han**** has been sidelined, even the opposition seem unable to say anything significant at all. At the briefing on Monday , Boris plus two at their lecterns managed to avoid any mention of tests and the questions asked seemed to have been managed to avoid testing. Vaccinations seem to be all they are able to discuss. Vaccine passports are discussed but as we are still potentially infectious are not a solution.
The B.B.C. p.m. news programme managed to roll out someone who maintained the pandemic would be all over by next Easter, he must live in parallel universe to all of us. If ,as we are led to believe Avacta's new test is a govt. chosen test & preparations are being made in the background, why are they not trying to educate the public now with information broadcasting, This used to be done e.g. Aids, Flu, Litter and the Green Cross Code! We are in an age of information, surely the govt. should be taking a leading role alongside the media. Silence is not an answer N.D.A. or not.
It's important to have some plan, which doesn't seem obvious now. Another shambles would be catastrophic.
I'm a big holder in Avacta and have followed the research and information on the B.B. I appreciate the intelligent and well researched posts, fantastic, it's very valuable for all investors. Let's hope our political masters and the media can improve their communications, no need for secrecy.
Is there a horse called Avacta running? Surely worth a punt.
Thanks all for your wonderful research. All the posters who were involved with Unpresedented’s post bringing it all together deserve a particular mention. It is a support to know we were all suffering at times both emotionally and financially. A special mention for Indi, I wish his family well despite its undeniable problems. Humour has been vital to retaining sanity at times.
In time I hope this share will be life changing for my family.

In last link you post, the framework agreement it says £5 per test. Is the maximum price anyone can tender tender. Page 40 . Will Avacta bid?
If this document is relevant , it seems to indicate that no tender with an ex works price of above £5 will be accepted. This I would think would rule out an Avacta tender. I assume £10 To £15 would be nearer the mark. I could not find any reference to the end date, but it is a long document and I only scanned a lot of it.
??
Anybody know why HL’s Avacta spread is 106 to sell and 120 to buy?
It seems to be that most posts on the subject say that tech transfer takes 1 to 3 months. On rereading the BBI site it actually says 3 to 4 months. We are approaching 3 months, let’s hope it is less than 4 months, Al did indicate it could be.

Re Myles presentation. On page 2 he talks about the major problem is the manual assembly of the test kit, requiring a huge workforce. It would seem that the numbers being talked about would be difficult to produce.
Has anyone any information on this problem. Does it only apply to the Avacta LFT?
I am a substantial shareholder in Avacta, 1st post!
