Effectively that gives them 6 months to restructure. More importantly it gives them time to gain revenue from an increased film slate. May be able to refinance if takings are good but may prove difficult filing for chapter 11.. Not all plain sailing of course. Recovery time is what is needed. They expect to come out of Chapter 11 1st quarter of 2023.

I would suggest it is a longer term bargain. A healthy film slate and should see significant increase in current SP by the end of the 1st quarter 2023. Its up to the true investor whether he chooses to buy or sell. Hopefully, this RNS will put an end to the ridiculous zero SP speculations made by some. Makes you wonder why they post such nonsense and exactly what their own agenda is.

Upon filing for relief under Chapter 11, the Group Chapter 11 Companies benefit from an "automatic stay" against any action to litigate or collect a pre-petition claim. Cineworld expects to operate its global business and cinemas as usual throughout this process.

Yes you are correct Gunner68 . If acceptance were to be refused Sareum would have a 14 day period to appeal and the reasons for. I cannot see that happening.

They would have known within 30 days via initial review if they were lacking in anything. I see no reason whatsoever for it to be knocked back. As long as all paperwork is spot on. capsules are formulated and undergo stringent quality control checks.

Cineworld are playing it like a game of poker albeit a very complicated game l.feel. Big business, finance and legalities are an extremely complex issue and way above the knowledge l have.

I do not believe it will be an easy ride for Cineworld, but what l do believe is the SP fall was way way over done. City world are not bankrupt and are highly unlikely to be bankrupt as all parties have far too much to lose. Big business is very different from the world most people understand. A different way of thinking. There are those that fail in business and those that are very cute and survive. That is my belief gained from many years experience in this world and knowing certain very successful people, hence why l am now invested here after weighing up.the pros and cons with a very meagre 10k at the moment.

Creditors. How will they pull the plug? They would have to file court proceedings for the monies owed at the moment. Neither party would benefit from this especially the creditor. All sides want their money.
It is a very complex issue indeed. You also have preferential creditors which take priority over ordinary creditors. A creditor trying to pull the plug in my opinion has nothing much to gain.
A resolution is thus a plan to prove you are viable? if you can be given the opportunity to prove you are viable then all well and good. Debtors in this case Cineworld should be in discussions with their creditors. If they choose not to play ball with each other then outcome can only be settled with court orders.

That is about the crux of the situation. In this respect it is beneficial for both sides to come to an agreement which allows Cineworld to continue in business.

However, as far as I know Cineworld is registered in the UK. As far as I am aware, there would be nothing to stop creditors taking Cineworld to court for monies owed that are derived from here.
It really is a quagmire of legalities.
We cannot enforce our laws in contractual agreements and court orders made overseas, likewise the US cannot enforce their laws over here.

Biggest problem to be perceived at the moment is the appeal and compensatory payment awarded to Cineplex. I certainly would not rule out, an out of court settlement fairly soon. Those are my opinions only of course.
