I don’t have any more info sorry. I was sent a message saying they have been told operations will start in Jan and I was asked if I know more. I’m guessing by operations they need construction? Was hoping someone here might know more - or know people in the area to get a feel for what the locals are saying.

BTW my mate is from Limpopo.

I just got news from a social media friend from SA. Apparantly the local community have been apprised of the Ironveld Jan operations? Could that mean the lease is signed and funding sorted (for the original bigger plan and not the new acquisition)? Has anyone got any local contacts to confirm this?

Thanks N. I’m not rich so £2k is a lot for me. That’s what my original investment was. I kept topping up and ended up with more than £13k. Had to bring it down so I could sleep better - now just over £4K left in Iron - I might regret that when the big reward comes but for now I will sleep better. Good luck all.

Sold (at a loss) 2/3 of my holding at 2.55, that was the max I could without going in to negotiated trade. Can sell reminding for 2.5 but will hold on for a bit.... I had too much skin in this and wanted to reduce my risk exposure by taking a small hit. I’ve made money on this trading a small portion and will probably continue to hold a portion for the long run and trade a portion to take advantage of short term opportunities.

Going of the sp maybe news due in both IRON and KENV this week? I hold both. IRON is the larger holding.

Issuing RNS may cost money but there are other cheaper ways to communicate progress. For example the company website. I don't believe they have anything to update hence the silent treatment. If it was my company, and for the first time my company was generating cash because I took over management of another company, I would be telling everyone - because it will prove to investors me and my company are worth investing in. I think everything will work out but for us all it is going to be a very slow frustrating journey. I also agree with the CEO comment. Getting someone new might be good for the company. Someone who cuts through the crap and gets things done.

I would welcome 10p/14p anyday. I'm still invested because I do believe in the project and it's just a waiting game. It will happen...... hopefully in my lifetime!

Thechaser- I agree the sp will be a lot higher once some of the promises are delivered. I just don't believe in the timeline and the managements ability to develop a realistic plan with real dates. I don't think investors will really believe in the plan until management start delivering on promises on time - if they did have more faith, the sp would be a lot higher now. As time passes, and we hear nothing, management lose more credibility.

I don't think he is being dishonest. I just think he has been really bad at planning and delivering against those plan (and is still really bad at that) - especially with SA government signing stuff off. I think his predictions, timelines etc should be taken with a bit of salt as it's never delivered. Good guy, just rubbish at predicting and planning. I would have thought with his experience he would have been better at it. I'd love to see the sp in the teens again but it doesn't seem like we will see that any time soon.

I too am optimistic - have been for years. For me the main difference with this potential acquisition (v starting from scratch) is they don't have to wait on the gov who are painfully slow. That should in theory mean they are more in control in getting this over the line. I'm guessing they are in advance stages in getting the legal and finance sorted for this. They said the legal would be done end of April!

Stockopedia showing next IRON event on Mon 10th July, 2017. It says 'Ironveld PLC Ordinary Shareholders Meeting'. Any idea what this meeting is?

Is there an easy way to check what the ave price is for the shares the directors hold?

I'm thinking of topping up. Only a small amount compared to that though.

I can buy standard shares for 2.07p at the moment via my broker. I can also sell for 2.02.

Don't blame you for selling Steven. I know you've held and posted here for ages. I'm still in and believe it will turn good eventually. Just have to wait a bit longer. As for Dr Cox. I think it's time for him to either do his job or retire and let someone capable take over. Good luck
