Fitlike/RedLeeHave you followed the Tesla acquisition of Maxwell Technologies ? If it goes through it would have some pretty serious implications for the battery market.First impressions are that it would give Tesla:1. A dry cell, getting rid of the liquid in the battery2. the current battery capacity of 250wh/kg would be increased by 20% to 300wh/kg but with stated Maxwell target of 500 wh/kg that could be used to power aeroplanes or give a car a 900 mile range.3. reduce battery cost by 20% 4. Maxwell super capacitors could increase car acceleration, make faster small top ups in seconds, and extend battery life by 2x5. extend battery cycles (battery life) by 2x6. and get rid of cobalt completely. The best and most complete You Tube video that I have come across is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60EiAklzj9IA bit of a geek but he seems to have done (and shows) his research. Also background info https://www.maxwell.com/

Have you looked at how it compares with Omadacycline by Paratek Pharma (approved Oct 2018). They seem to have the fire power with $90M cash end Dec 2017, although their forecast losses are staggering.

Well, that is what they say in their introduction "The world class Ramu Nickel project that integrates mining, beneficiation and refining is located in Madang Province, Papua New Guinea. It is composed of laterite open-pit mining,"

Is'nt HZM purely laterite in both its mines ? Can they compete against the Philipines and Indonesia with all that new Chinese investment ? Have not studied them nor read their PFS due to them being laterite, but if they are talking of nickel sulphide, conversion from ferronickel is expensive.
If you think AMC's PFS will follow HZM, then can I suggest that since you have written your investment off, you do not sell them and just put them in your bottom drawer. You might be pleasantly surprised in time.

Ramu is laterite which with the recent ramp up in production of laterite gives them a head ache.
LME is not laterite and I have not seen any reason to believe that new sulphide production has started, nor any refining to convert laterite to sulphide. I will agree that ferronickel will be taking some of the pure sulphide market but is it that much bearing in mind the reasonable concept that there is (as we are told) stock building outside the LME for future EV battery manufacture. So, does this not come back to the warrant behaviour ?
I still think there is something going on with LME stock to create smoke and mirrors on the LME nickel price.
Does anyone else wonder why LME pysical stocks have risen once we got to below 200K tonnes.
Could it be that someone believes that the rising price of Ni may accelearte if stocks are below 200K and are moving stock into LME from other stocks held outside the expensive LME ??
Am I being paranoid ??

Have you ever heard of tax efficiency.
This is why so many companies are registered in tax havens around the world. AMC may be listed in the UK but its registered address is in the British Virgin islands. I would say that less than half the UK quoted companies are actually in the UK.
sansavatar,
Remember that there is a tax situation involved. They cannot hold too many AGM's here or the UK Revenue could claim that AMC is directed from here and therefore liable to UK taxes (don't know the exact tax terminology but you get the gist).

I can only think that it was from the 24-26/10/2016 2.88-2.99p If it was that I hope it has been closed.
Don't know much about gaps and in particular about the tails on the candlesticks as I'm hoping today will end with a downard tail for the gap. perhaps someone could enlighten us whether tails matter and if so why ?
Pigs. Snouts. Trough.
