Not totally sure but my guess would be disclosure for their own customers, as I said before, fund managers like their customers to know that they're moving out of stocks that are currently losing, else their customers will move money out of their funds and then the fund managers won't receive their commission.

BlackRock’s active funds bought into THG before its initial public offering. One person close to the asset manager said reducing the stake reflected “prudent risk management as the stock has fallen”.

The person added: “We still support management and remain invested in the company. We believe in the stock’s fundamentals and there have been improvements on the governance side.”

We retail traders have the benefit of holding for as long as we like, so can hold and buy more when it's going down.

Fund managers tend to buy on momentum to prevent losing customers, i.e. Sell at a loss when it's going down and buy when it's moving higher. Cathie Wood does this with her ARK fund. I think I'm one of the only people who believe what Blackrock are saying, if they really didn't believe in THG then they'd sell all of their holding, but they've got to be seen by their customers to get out of losing stocks.

The psychology of trading is fascinating. People complain and sell out when the stock gets CHEAPER. People jump for joy when they have the opportunity to buy when it's more EXPENSIVE. We all know the fair valuation, and it's more than this price. You should be happy to get this at such a discount.

I've been looking into the intrinsic value of THG. I'm certainly not smart enough to do this myself but there's a site that calculates it for you.

We have 3 scenarios, best, base and worst case scenario for calculating the intrinsic value.
Worst case scenario price = 219p.
Base scenario price = 357p.
Best case scenario price = 648p.

This gives me confidence that my 260p average will give me good returns in the future.
Anyone getting in now should really look at the risk vs reward on this stock, I think its very heavily skewed to the upside. I do wish I waited a week before buying though!

Fully aware fordm, hence why I've invested an amount where it wouldn't cripple me if it went to 0. The reasons for this share being manipulated down can be solved and I think there's been an overreaction to the downside. Like with Alibaba, Asos and Boohoo, all of which I am holding. I guess we'll see what the future holds.

I'm not selling until this hits 650p. We'll all look back at this in a year's time laughing at how manipulated this share was and wishing we bought more at this price.
