I’m amazed at the lack of interest in this stock on LSE given its performance of late.

I recall there was some fairly strong director buying back around May time. I took that as a strong confidence vote in the business and its direction. I see no reason to change that view.

Look at the recent share purchases by directors, including by the non-exec chair who was previously chair of Treatt, I believe. That’s an incredibly strong signal. Investor Chronicle also rates these. I am hopeful that the value of the agri strategy will bear fruit come the summer of next year. Let’s see what the next update brings.

Well, almost all of the shirts have increased their short positions in the past couple of weeks. That’s not a great sign. I suspect these will head lower before we see a recovery. But that’s a lot of buying back that is needed when that time comes.

Well it’s up 34% in 8 months and, unlike many Aim stocks, is not hugely volatile. If that’s unfashionable I’ll take it. Brokers all increased their expectations materially after last results. This will step up again in time.

Likewise pj, I keep waiting on a sign of this stabilising and bouncing back but so far that’s been elusive. At these prices this is a steal. Oil services businesses seem to be out of favour more generally. Patience needed, unfortunately.

Further material share purchase by the non-exec. Chair. Very positive signal for the future of the business. Next update should be interesting.

Investor Chronicle published a good article today outline just that point and setting out the considerations for how best to exploit the Bilboes mine that will influence the long term position for the stock.

I’m surprised at the relatively muted increase to the sp following this weeks update. Given the strength of the update and continued delivery of their growth plans, despite a very difficult consumer climate, I had hoped for a more significant push onto a new level.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been a more positive response to today’s quarterly update which was extremely positive, showing strong momentum and growth across all product areas.

Sp is drifting badly in no news. I’m hopeful that these will bounce back strongly sat the next update. Strong director buys recently wisdoms suggest that they could.

Given the strategic review it’s interesting that the short position remains open. Perhaps they are confident that no bid will emerge and the shares will fall?

This is down almost 30% since its recent highs. It’s a vastly overdone drop since its recent update. The company was already significantly undervalued relative to its peers. Now to an even greater extent. Needs to bottom out and get some positive news flow.

As expected, the company is now expecting to exceed

Market expectations for the year after announcing strong half year results. These should push on.

In the Aug trading update they said they were “comfortable” about achieving full year expectations. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if they exceed them and the sp gets a further lift.

Fourth short increases in first three days of Oct followed by the expect fall in the sp as the company exists Aim and joins the main market. It’ll be interesting to see where this settles. It’s so undervalued now but one has to say the shorts have played a blinder for months now on Ashtead Tech.

Stargate - whilst debt has increased, their total assets have also substantially increased and the business has a current ratio of 2.35 and a quick ratio of 1.97 - both very healthy. They've also increased cash reserves by over 12% and have an operating margin of over 24%. So the balance sheet is healthy - and all this having acquired a number of substantial businesses in the past few years.

Shorts have increased to their highest level. I expect this could take a fair drop on Fri (3rd Oct) which, in effect, will be its last day of trading on AIM through forced sellers as it moves to the main market.

So far the shorts have been correct on this stock.

30% down since recent high in May of 40p. What’s going on? There no obvious driver for this decline in the sp.

It’s a ludicrous response from the market. The results were overall very positive. Any softening of the market in terms of customer bookings was already in the price following the response to the recent Jet2 update. I expect these will bounce back.
