Although the overall trend is downwards it’s depressing to see Voleon increase their short position a little on 2nd Jan. It suggests the sp may still languish for some time. The short term future for oil price points to this also. This remains significantly undervalued for me but it may be quite some time before we see a recovery

Disappointing that the market hasn’t recognised the incremental value of the various recent contract announcements. At some stage these will rerate, possibly significantly so. The business is now generating serious cash and deleveraging rapidly.

The 20th Jan deadline are for expressions of interests, not formal offers. It may be some time yet before formal offers are submitted, if any.

The sp seems to be continuing its slow descent to sub £3 once again.

I’m a little surprised not to see a further uplift in the sp today. The market hasn’t yet recognised the value of the contract correction and additional new contract notified on Christmas Eve.

Nice to see this edging upwards after a period of sluggish performance. The stock is significantly

undervalued.

The shorts have reduced by almost 2% in the last 2 months. Whilst some have increased their position very slightly, the overall trend is downward. Let’s see if that trend is sustained.

These popped a little over 6% today despite sales volumes significantly exceeding buy volumes. The reason for the increase isn’t obvious to me.

Although I don’t believe there should be a direct correlation, I don’t think AT will prosper whilst the oil price struggles at these relatively low levels. There’s also been no meaningful gain in the short term from the move to the main market. It’s frustrating for such a well run business.

This looks like AI generated nonsense. In US dollar terms the market cap is closer to $940m, for example.

Back to 3 shorts with Voleon increasing slightly and reaching threshold.

It’s worth reiterating that there was some material director buying in recent months. Rarely a bad sign.

But you did say you didn’t think it would go for more than £3. It’s worth far more than that. That’s why a strategic review is under way.

It’s worth far more than £2.75, Me22345. That’s why Harwood and other significant shareholders promoted the strategic review. The value of its property portfolio on the balance sheet bears no relation to its true market value. It’s been such a frustrating stock to hold but at some point that value will be realised.

I think I’m just about done with Spire and AIM more generally. A generally positive update but the market homes in on the negative sentiment that profits will be at the lower end of expectations and the shares get hammered. Such an over reaction to a very slight reduction in forecast.

The strategic review seems to be dragging on. It needs to get a move on and provide shareholders with some clarity. The motivation for the review was a recognition that the share price did not reflect the value of the business. We’ve seen a good example of that this morning from the excessive market reaction.

And there it is. The inevitable pullback over the last couple of days. AT just can’t sustain any progression in the sp.

I bought on the way up early last year and foolishly held as it retreated. Schoolboy error. This is now a long term hold for me. I’m confident it will recover as it’s a good, well run business. Probably needs oil tonsils to help it on its way.

Unusually high volumes today and an unusual spike in the share price. Unsure why. Let’s see what develops.

AT has slowly appreciated by approx 17% in recent weeks from its low of sub 300p. We’ve not seen that for quite some time without intermittent pullbacks dragging it back down. It’ll be interesting to see where it settles and if this can be sustained.

Walleye Capital appear to think otherwise, increasing their short position slightly yesterday.
