Would appear, that MM's need shares, as the spreads suggests that they don't want anyone buying, but are happy for people to sell.... Some sold already, and the price has gone up, to me this suggests that MM's still need to get their hands on more, so trying to entice holders into selling for a small(er) profit, probably to fill an order in the background?
I imagine that we would get the interims towards the end of the month, so most of your questions would most likely be answered with the data supplied within those interims. No point any of us here trying to second guess, without having more information to hand, otherwise it's hypothetical... Why not wait for concrete information to go on?
Certainly is good news, but I see is this as just the first step, though having just checked out VE, they have an impressive website, 33 offices worldwide and over 850 members of staff, not a small time company for sure. Think this re-rate of CHA s/p will take some time, but in Akers I feel he will make the right decisions for shareholders in the long run. GLA
5's seems to have tumbled again, bring on the next rise, hopefully close to 6's today. GLA
Seems to be some buying pressure around today, interims due towards the end of the month, low number of shares = larger swings either way!! GLA
Likewise Cadis, I could have bought in at 86p, but decided to sit on the sidelines to watch what STY was going to do, then managed to get in at 132p, so in, but already smiling, and still a way to go, makes a change to enjoy such a ride, and not regretting missing out on 86p now! GLA
Haha, yes certainly showing a pattern with nice healthy upward trend, one I could/should have jumped on late last week at 86p, but thought it was P&D, so stayed clear, now I've bitten the bullet, knowing my luck will drop back, but I think we may be onto something special here! GLA
Hope so Bckttsim!! As I've just bought in at 132p hope I don't regret it now. GLA
Just managed to get in myself this morning at 8.80, was hoping for lower, but the trend suggests the upward curve may last a while here, rather be in with a small punt and see where it goes, then watch it shoot up and wished I had got in... We'll see... GLA
I'd be wary of anything written by Tom Winnifrith, as the guy has a reputation for shorting, I have been stung by his acidic words on two holdings to date, and the guy has form of spouting a lot of rubbish, to which his backers gain a large financial return... He has not long been taken to court by a P.I. for his unfounded claims and used stolen information to make such claims, if you want to listen to what he has to say, then do so at your own risk... I on the other hand wouldn't give the time of day or credence by repeating or linking any information from his website.
True, but so has most of the other energy suppliers, more like a trend happening. I would be more worried if only Telecom Plus was dropping if all the others were riding high. Having been in on CNA, I am glad I got out of them when I did. I think what you have to bear in mind with the business model that Telecom Plus have, whilst being part of the energy industry, is that there new players (companies) joining all trying to be something different, may well just be niche for the meantime but they have aspirations of changing how we produce & supply energy and giving the end customer a moral choice on energy source, if you believe in all of the 'green' energy, then you may well be prone to pay a little more. If you're business appears to portray the old, established way of doing things, you may well be perceived as being archaic. Also, from the few people I have mentioned Telecom Plus to, there is an element of suspicion as to how they can offer such packages and deals. Until Telecom Plus decide to go through a distribution way of marketing their business, that element of suspicion I'm afraid will always put people off enquiring and giving the whole bundle/package a try. I am LTH of Telecom Plus, and believe they are onto a winner and a newer method of supplying multiple services to the end user in the easiest way possible, but what is good/logical to me may well not be for the next person. This is still a relatively new way of doing business for the average utility customer. GL all invested here!
I would suggest it is probably due to the type of business/industry it is in, and with a General Election just around the corner, going to be the bashed down until we know the outcome, I don't believe it to be solely down to Telecom Plus, as FTSE suffered its biggest drop of the year yesterday.
Yes, you're not wrong, managed to average down my holding this morning at 199p, well chuffed so far, was certainly for a long term hold in my opinion, believe this company has far to go, with hopefully many returns for us PI's. GLA
Tend to agree with you Inspiration. Whitley I am also in QPP, currently sitting at 98% loss, no point selling now, may as well ride it out, and get something, I believe they will come good, just a case of BoD sorting themselves out, think we have now got rid of the worst problem there, just a shame he's still trying to hang around, once the market realise what QPP is trying to achieve then the S/P will return to past glories. As for NG, great share, and good prospects for at least the next couple of years, also divi's aren't bad too.
