see a 12pct markdown this morning as I had felt that the numbers released today were not too shoddy. Maybe some expectations were too high. Hopefully will see a recovery over the next week.

what to make of the reported 7.8 m sales made late yesterday. Find it difficult to believe that amount can have been sold without a substantial discount and without the price collapsing on opening today. Anybody any ideas ?

Waldo, if he keeps buying to average down he will soon be missing out on drinking his lunch. He wants the price to rise as much as most of us do !

FK1. Okay maybe a little caution is called for but for LSE to show a 4pct fall in the share price because of an uncrossed trade valued at less than £ 1 is irresponsible and unrealistic. I can sell 100,000 at 4.86 but cannot get an online quote f to buy even 1000 shares.

a spread in excess of 10pct is ridiculous for a company of this size/stature. Severely restricting trade.

the steady buying interest over the past few days. We must hope that the May numbers to be released possibly at the end of next week are strong and that LM advises all the equipment needed for the cashew plant is now on site .

This has been coming for a few months. Does the fact that DBAY have pitched the offer so low mean that the board of TCM have been unable get interest from another buyer ? Doesn't old Oozy still hold some 17m shares ? Wonder what he thinks of the offer.

Agro. Did you ask HL to approach Peterhouse on your behalf ? I asked my lot (IWEB) to apply for 10,000 at 22p as it seemed a no-brainer. Not sure what, if anything, I will get but £ 2200 has been deducted from my cash balance ! Will let you know.

patterns today. Firstly a whole raft of 10,000 buys, followed by a series of 7000 trades and now 6588 seems to be the lucky number. It is good to see some upward movement in VRS as the past few weeks have been pretty depressing, at least for those with an average price of over 75p.....

late-reported trade made on Thursday has underpinned the price. Brokers price on Friday steady at 4.87 to sell and 4.80 to buy.

Opening tomorrow will show a 4pct rise in the price. All day my broker has been a buyer at 4.90-4.94 and a seller at 4.98 - 5.0

there are some large unreported (yet) sales then I don't understand the pricing of the £ 50 U/T

FK1. I think the 250,000 trade at 0833 was a sale not a buy.
When I tried a dummy trade at 0845 broker would only quote to buy max 10,000 shares at 5.1 and was a seller for 100,000 at 5.23
At 0945 broker happy quote for 100,000 parcels. Selling at 5.0 and buying at 4.92

And my purchase shown as a sale, and suspect others likewise wrongly called.
