FK1. At 0845 my broker was happy to quote 4.78 to sell and 4.60 to buy 100,000 parcels.
At 0930 the price had dropped to 4.52 and 4.40 and only willing buy max 10,000

FK1. We keep on seeing these uncrossed trades for tiny amounts at unrepresentative prices. Surely we will see LSE reporting a significant price rise soon after opening....Must admit I still fail to understand how and why such small trades are necessary.

Personally I thought the results were good and would have seen a rise in the share price, but the market opened with the price falling ! Just what does the market want to see in order get this price back to what I paid ?

Think the brokers have more stock than they want at the moment. I have not been able get an online quote for the past 3 days even for selling 200 shares !

I do hope you are right... as with an average price slightly more than double what it is today holding VRS shares is becoming a little painful.

Have no idea of the economics around rubber.
Olam is a formidable competitor wherever they venture and have virtually limitless resources. When I last looked they were 51 pct owned by Temasek ( Singapore Govt) ,20pct by Mitsubishi and with the founder Sunny George holding 4-5pct. Through Nauvu they have a significant shareholding in SIFCA the largest CPO producer in CI. Nauvu is a joint venture Olam has with Wilmar, which is backed by Kuok and Archer Daniels Midland, so serious money and very well diversified.

Aris has a 750 acre rubber estate in CI which he planted with 200,000 rubber trees. On the Wharton website where he and his wife were interviewed it says that when he joined Dekelagri the oil palm, rubber and cashew company.......
So FK1 you could be making a good guess . The CI is Africa's largest exporter of rubber with Olam prominent.

disappointed by the market reaction to the good numbers which came out earlier. Had thought we would bounce back to over 5. Really cannot understand why some holders are getting out now as the prospects are brighter than ever especially if the March ffb collection can approach the near 30,000mt achieved last year. Then the first quarter total would match the bumper 2019 figures but with the an average price of E 800 not E 520
Hope the sellers are now cleared and this afternoon brings in the buyers.

Absolutely no idea but it allowed me top-up at 4.26
But the shares are down more than £ 1 from January for no apparent reason.

and with cpo prices at 10year highs we could be getting some very good news if the Feb CI numbers are strong.

CPO prices reaching $ 1100 the REA price just continues to weaken As of this morning broker not even prepared buy at 56. With positive news likely from DKL on Wednesday and MPE at the end of the month we will see whether prices here buck the trend and carry on heading south.

FK1. broker has upped his buying price quite considerably since early this morning. Can now sell at 4.63 To buy I would need pay 4.77

that in view of all the substantial sales shown this morning I have no problem in getting an immediate offer from broker to sell 200,000 ( at 4.41) but cannot get any offer to buy even 500 shares. The large sale reported earlier this morning for 700,000 seems to keep going missing ....

bought today. Should go some way to stabilizing the price.

It is really good when you appreciate that at the end of March 2020 the shares were at 231 !
