Sorry VD, but I think I have picked you up before. LD, in previous presentations has said there are a number of funding options including non-dilutive and dilutive and that they were not ruling any out. This has proved to be true - non-dilutive comping from GenMab (hopefully more to come) and dilutive (as in the last fundraiser)

It is the happy clappers who have misled the readers of this BB - deliberately or ignorantly I'll leave you to make your own mind up.

I think the accusation that a BOD member has "deliberately misled" shareholders is out of order. I know you are frustrated, as I am, but you need to be a little more circumspect I think.

Well undoubtedly tremendous news for the 3 responders.

From a commercial point of view I would say good news. It is a smaller sample than scib1 7 versus 13 with a lower ORR 43% versus 82%. But in terms of improvement over standard of care pretty good.

It will be interesting to see the market reaction. I suspect a modest rise followed by the usual pullback.

No, I don't know what the purpose of his posts are and I don't really care. I am not a fragile shrinking rose who presses the sell button in panic based on what someone says. For balance, I don't go panicking to press the buy button when one of the happy clappers declares "news coming soon, this is going fly" due to FOMO.

I also don't care what he bases his price predictions on. I do my own research and have my own fairly sophisticated model. If the actual SP is significantly below this , I may buy some and if it peaks I may sell some to buy something I need.

Regardless of this, I wouldn't tell anyone to buy, sell or hold. 1) it's none of my (or your) business and 2) I don't have the financial accreditation to do so legally.

I guess you don't either, if you had it would be highly unethical to advise someone to sell whilst holding personally. I assume you do hold?

The other thing that gets on my tits is people moaning about BOD members not having "skin in the game".

The amount of money a director or senior executive wants to invest in their company(s) is entirely their personal choice. Their wealth management is no different to anyone else's and even though they may be a director of one company it is just as foolhardy to go "all in" on a single company as anyone else. They will undoubtedly have a diverse portfolio spread across different sectors like any other sensible investor.

The notion that a senior executive will do a better job if they have "skin in the game" is a complete fallacy. (As is the belief it will affect the SP). These are highly skilled professionals employed for their expertise in a specific area. Their remuneration is from salary, bonus and share options. If they fail to hit targets they do get their bonus and options. If they don't do a good job they will be fired.

The other thing people to fail to understand is the investments are relative. Lindy Durrant has 8 million shares - approximately 1% of the company. The CEO of HSBC has invested £1.2M of his own money yet this only amounts to 0.0012% of the issued share capital. Did LD buy these shares with her own money - yes. The money from share options earned as a result of great scientific discovery, hard work and commitment. In the early days of startups, founders raise modest funds from savings or remortgaging property - they take on ALL the risk. It is only right and proper that they should be rewarded, not at the ultimate end game but milestones along the way.

What I want to see is the CEO executing, the CSO advancing and proving the science and the CFO providing financial stability. The investment I want from investment funds who understand the investment and have deep pockets when required.

I have to agree with Buddha here. Redmile first purchase was at 5.5p in July 2020. Very shortly after they could have sold at 18p. They didn't. That suggests they are looking for more than a 3-4 bagger. They bought more at 13p in October 2020 giving them an average buy in price of 10.6p. Again, since that time we saw a peak of 28p so theoretically could have trebled their money - they didn't. So you have to conclude that Redmile are in it for a lot more than a 3-4 bagger. How much more is anyone's guess but at least 10 times (£1) I'd have thought.

So in terms of Ripley's "believe it or not" I'm afraid it's a big fat NOT.

Yes, I get it. My point is "so far" for me is now approaching 13 years, a long time to have cash tied up and stagnant. Perhaps I am referring to my own situation. Perhaps it's just me who bought in nearly 13 years ago at varying prices including every open offer except the last one. Perhaps I was the only one who was expecting a multi bagger within 2/3 years. Or maybe I'm just the only one man enough to admit it and accept any "failure" is wholly my own.

Let's just think about that statement for a second. For me personally that is certainly true. It is also true for any long term holder, an investment that produces zero return over 12 years is undeniably a "dismal failure".

Some will argue "but this will come good one day". That may me true but any seemingly big rise when taken in the context of such a long period of time will represent a fairly modest annual return.

But when we use the word "failure" we need to be honest about where the responsibility for the failure lies. Is it SCLP that has failed? Certainly not. They have developed two promising treatments that are currently in trial. They have several other products poised to either go to trial or be taken on by third parties. The length of time and level of cash spend is merely a fact of life in the biotech sector.

So let's be clear, the term "failure" applies exclusively to us as investors. We have bought too many, we have bought too high, we have failed to take profits we have failed to cut losses, we have succumbed to hope over reality.

So by all means use the word "failure" but for goodness sake man up (person up?) and admit where the failure lies and don't blame anyone else but yourself.

Many thanks AB. Evidently you express the feelings of quite a number of long term investors here. Personally, I saw nothing negative in your post, you simply stated where we are at this moment in time. Where we go from here remains to be seen but I'm sure we are all eager to see the impact of the new CEO.

So you are saying those two things would have happened even if Hullier had not joined? In which case, what has his contribution been or what areas do you expect him to contribute? In other words HOW does he "strengthen the team"?
