I think the "acceptable" price depends on what party you're talking about - the potential bidder, Scancell, major institutional investors and PIs. Probably a wide range of acceptable prices amongst us PIs. I'd say £1 billion would be both doable and acceptable to many - £1 per share.
I don't think anything under 50p would be acceptable and anything over £2 would not be doable given the stage we are at right now.
If we were to progress the pipeline further, we may well be worth more but I think you were asking for what we could be worth right now. As it stands, any purchaser would be taking on the risk.

I think whatever new variant arrives will become the dominant variant in time. I think one of the most widespread variants in Europe is the "Kent" variant. It's only a matter of time until this is replaced by the Indian variant.

Bl**dy hell C7, no views on Indian variant? You only posted that one hour ago, forgive me for catching up on the cricket and house of games! Lol.
What bugs me is the lack of objective, scientific analysis. We are told that the Indian variant is more transmissible. Why? Is there something intrinsic in the virus itself? Does it survive longer on services? Are more virus particles exhaled when you breathe, cough or sneeze? Are less particles needed to infect another?
Or is it that the Indian variant has infected Indian communities and the demographic in those communities is different? For example, multi-generational households, social conditions etc. I feel this sort of information is suppressed through fear of being classed "******".
So perhaps the Indian variant doesn't pose a greater threat and the road map out of lockdown won't be affected. Of course, regardless of the variant in circulation the more person to person contact, the higher the infection rate will be. I think a third wave is inevitable but hopefully it will be manageable from a health care point of view.
For these reasons I'm personally pinning my hopes on progress on Covidity rather than other trials.

I did some research on "Current Ratio". My question to Hasiba was ratio to what? (since there are several financial ratios used to measure a company's performance.

The simple term "Current Ratio" is described on investopedia as:

"The current ratio is a liquidity ratio that measures a company's ability to pay short-term obligations or those due within one year. It tells investors and analysts how a company can maximize the current assets on its balance sheet to satisfy its current debt and other payables."

It is not surprising that a loss making company with a cash burn of £6M per year having had a massive cash injection from Redmile, Vulpes and an open offer to have a very high "Current Ratio". I presume the calculation is £24M (cash in bank) divided by £6M (annual costs). The quoted figure takes into account the position as reported in the latest financial update so will not include the most recent Redmile share purchase and CLN money.

By the next update, I suspect the cash will go up but the cash burn will as well. Say £40M divided by £10M - still a healthy 4.

I think the point Hasiba was making was it is incumbent on the company to now maximise those assets. Apologies if I have misrepresented you.

There is a chasm of difference between "having a good chance of winning" and it's in the bag.
But I agree, it probably was desperation about the SP and lack of knowledge where funding was going to come from that caused the over enthusiasm.

I think it is a matter of record that expectations around the Grand Challenge were over-hyped so not sure what your point is.
I can comment on the Battle of Hastings without being around at the time.

You make a good point in that the GC may well have raised the profile of Scancell to the point where certain investors were compelled to take a closer look.
To have got has far as they did in no way can be deemed failure. I think the issue was about the predictions of "in the bag" and "nailed on". I think this is just caused by being blinkered to a single company. If you read all entries with an open mind you would see three or four who had at least as good a chance as Scancell and in the end, one of those won it.
