Thanks for digging out that DE post. That's where the 10 million shares I had in my head must have come from. I certainly wouldn't describe him as a small holder!

I recall DE investing £1m when the SP was around 10p. That makes it around 10m shares.

I think some consistency needs to be applied.
I am quite happy to accept that someone who claims a large investment is genuine.
I am quite happy to accept NXC is the ex chairman.
Quite happy to accept GF123 is Not C7.
But equally happy to accept AB124 isn't aimbig.
I think in the absence of irrefutable evidence to the contrary, it is only good etiquette to accept peoples word.
I'm even happy to accept you are/are not a character from wind in the willows - I'll accept your call on that one! :)

It’s a valid question. In both cancer and viruses the objective is to identify the rogue cells and kill them. Viruses will mutate but the signature proteins on cancer cells are constant.
I think that the gist of it, I’m sure others can expand.

The fact that electroporation device is mentioned as well as a "needle free" method seems to suggest that the former (electroporation) is not needle free?

To me, it makes complete sense to mimic the successful SCIB1 trial as closely as possibly. If the device was changed and the results were different, how would you know whether it was the vaccine or delivery method (or both).

What I want to know is are the little tiny electroporation devices to use on the mice?

Very true. I've worked in South Africa and the facilities and infrastructure are superb. I'm suspect this applies equally to medical facilities - fortunately I had no need to check them out.
It was as ideal place for a development centre, highly skilled, educated and motivated work force.
They love beer and cricket so what's not to like? Nando's for six people including drink £3.

The reason for South Africa is that they have a largely unvaccinated population and high infection rate. There's no point doing trials on people who have already been vaccinated.

Nothing mixed about my views - I expect an announcement. I know they are not obliged to but 1) they announced the submission of the Covid vaccine and 2) they have repeatedly told us (recently) that Modi1 submission would be in H1 2021 - we are now in H2.

RNS 7th June:
" The Company continues to progress the Modi-1 Phase 1/2 clinical trial for regulatory submission to start the planned clinical study in the UK in the first half of 2021."
RNS 15th June:
"The Company continues to progress the Modi-1 Phase 1/2 clinical trial for regulatory submission in the first half of 2021."
RNS 22nd June:
"The Company continues to progress the Modi-1 Phase 1/2 clinical trial for regulatory submission in the first half of 2021."

Well we are now in H2 and I was up early looking for a worm. Alas no RNS.
What do we reckon? An announcement in the next few days? They can't delay too long with no explanation surely?

There was an RNS about the Covid submission so there is no reason why they wouldn't RNS the Moditope submission. I think they will, it would be totally inconsistent not to. Imo

I might actually set the alarm, I don't normally but I have an early meeting (8:45) tomorrow so need to be up anyway.
I expect we will be filled in on more detail on SCOV1/2 trials, plans and these possibly will involve Zakari Therapeutics.
I swayed away from the idea it has something to do with the Covid vaccine when Bermuda pointed out it meant sugar in Greek. This may suggest something to do with Glycans. However, Zakari also means "The Lord Recalled" in Hebrew (as someone has already pointed out but I can't remember who)
Maybe, someone who understands Hebrew (and has a mischievous sense of humour) is alluding to a God sent plague (Covid) and Covidity/SCOV1/2 is his way of recalling it from mankind?

I know DE (NXC) has spoken out against not RNSing the reasons behind setting up of Zakari but here is what he said a year ago or more:

"It probably stands a better chance of funding in the current climate if it was spun out of Scancell and then raised money via The Future Fund ( investment to be structured appropriately). Hopefully some of the dosh currently swilling around the Oxford University trough could be siphoned off for Scancell's benefit."

I know things have moved on since then but I see it as the only way Scancell could secure grant funding without giving up some of the value of the oncology pipeline.

No, it's not strange at all. He was talking about Oxford/Astra new variant vaccine. Why on earth would he want to mention Scancell? I can't believe he doesn't know what's going on elsewhere, especially as they are all Oxford based.

He was extremely gracious about you following your chat with him.
There are some people who due to their experience, knowledge and gravitas that you just have to pay attention to. Whether you agree with them or not, you have to consider WHY they hold that view or take a particular course of action.

I thought he had about £10M invested in Scancell? Either way, he has been a long time supporter and advocate for the company.
