It looks to me like Rathlin are putting a sale bundle together. This screening request report for WNA looks like the basis for a Field Development Plan to me. I would think they would have updated volumetrics by now, and the EWTs could provide the finishing detail for a comprehensive Competent Persons Report.

persimmon, everyone knows the bleedin obvious - that the more West Newton is proved up, the more it will cost to prove up. But it will be worth considerably more as a result. They don't HAVE TO raise more money, as they could probably sell the licence after the EWTs (which are already paid for) for £300m plus. Or maybe they will do far more before selling, in which case (unless they farmout to some extent) they will probably need to raise. As usual your insinuation is typically negative.

David Bramhill recently said "West Newton is a large project, and the objective is to increase the value of the project."
How much more proving up CAN they do before selling? I suppose it depends on what the limiting factors are, e.g. cash.

I have always had replies on the few occassions I've sent emails, even if it's to say they can't comment at this stage. Might be best to ask if you can speak rather than exchange emails?

In David Bramhill's most recent interview, he suggested that equipment was difficult to get hold of at the moment because of high demand. Perhaps Rathlin are simply waiting for equipment to become available.

Monarch, when persimmon knows he's lost the argument, he runs away with his tail firmly between his legs (a regular occurrence). It gives him the opportunity to attack again, but from a slightly different angle the next time. It's tedious.

I think the price has dropped because the RNS speaks of operations in the future - far beyond the interest of many impatient short-term traders.

Rubbish persimmon. If Rathlin reverse into Europa it would probably be done by the issue of Rathlin shares. Additionally, all West Newton operations necessary to bring it to point of sale are already covered. That sale would generate a serious pile of cash.

I'd be very happy if Rathlin reverse into EOG. EOG obviously have 30% of Wressle but to me, more importantly they have 2 drill-ready licence areas beside the Corrib gas field which have gone nowhere because the Irish government have stifled O&G development, but things look to be changing. Brexit has changed the dynamics of Irish gas supply, and the Irish government are turning against imported Texas LNG. The Corrib gas field currently provides around 50% of Ireland's requirements. This is expected to decline to 20% over the next 4 years. Europa's Iniskea and Edge licence areas, which are 100% owned by Europa and which jointly have 2.7 TCF mean unrisked net prospective resources, could become extremely valuable.

It's certainly worth watching how things progress.

Hi BH. I've often wondered if Reabold's shares in Rathlin will earn us more than everything else Reabold has put together, if/when Rathlin float. Could that day be just around the corner? Lots of rumours re RTO with Europa.
