Dividend too good to ignore

Went through at 508.50 earlier

Yep I took the remaining 50% of my holding off the table late yesterday

I think the potential drop from current levels outweigh the "possible" acceptance level of 360/370

Not bad completed investment that went from 197p (average paid of 3 tranches) to 319p (average of the 2 sales)

Very hefty buy into the close there over 27k

Because many will have bought in at 200 (or less as I did) to 240 ish and are sat on decent profit. There has been no dividends recently

Yes a rise to 360p would give additional profit but a drop to 280p on an unsuccessful bid will likewise hit the pocket

I have taken half off the table

Just done a tour of all the wires and overall consensus seems to be the bid is not high enough to get the level of support required

Clearly the SP would drop somewhat but clearly wont tank per se

It could be argued that why would the SP tank if the bid failed

If a bid has been made at 370 than there must be clear evidence to the bidder that its worth it in the first place

Certainly it would slip but tank...absolutely not

Bizarrely and this could be coincidence but when I first purchased IDS in 2022 i added as I do all LSE stock holdings to Opera browser to keep finance away from my usual Chrome Browser

I'm not sure what I did because when I open IDS it literally opens at this from 1st December 2022 with the header

Whilst the SP has been higher intraday looks like this is the highest close on the 1 year graph (unless it settles marginally lower)

Whats more comical Redceo is that the LSE filter as you can see has starred out the 4 letters of a completely non offensive word per se (albeit obvious) yet probably the most offensive word that can be thrown at another human that is imaginable is not automatically removed likewise
