So….. I got caught out with this when I first started investing with spreadbetting.

Say the sp is at 100 and want to open at 101. But then on opening the sp gaps up to 110, your order will be filled at 110, then what’s worse is if it gaps up then comes down your instantly running a loss.

It’s always better to wait until the market is open I feel.

News ok travel wise this weekend so far with US accepting WHO vaccines. Could really do with this hitting 190 next week to break even on my latest trade. 218 is what’s needed to cover my original investment though. :)

Tomorrow will be interesting. I may look to get out of my short term holding as wouldn’t want to be in it over the weekend if it’s not great news.

With travel rules changing and red list alterations I thought USA may have given us the opportunity to break out today but no such luck.
