I must be missing the point here.

My thoughts were that omicron is replacing delta, that’s fact. So if omicron is less severe and less hospitalisations which data suggests that it is so far then there’s no reason why we can’t cope. I understand slowing the spread to help the curve instead of a spike but if we slow it too much then it gives virus more opportunity to mutate rather than exhaust itself, science doesn’t always beat nature. I think South Africa will be virtually Covid free in the near future, provided omicron can’t be caught again in short span.
But we need more data first, it’s becoming more apparent that only 20-40s are more affected in south Africa but that’s due to vaccines I believe. With only 7.9% vaccination status you can see why. 1200 people hospitalised with omicron and only 4 need oxygen, also not noted if they have underlying conditions either.

Will try and look at all omicron figure tomorrow.

Been searching online, WHO still can’t link any deaths relating directly to omicron.
South Africa has a current vaccination status of under 10% I believe. 7.9% one article stated. Still baffles me me such a panic. Also hospitalisations very low, and they’re only hospitalisations because of other conditions so not linked to omicron.

Sooner more data gets out about the severity the better. All good and well saying it spreads 2.5 times faster than delta but we’ve not seen any deaths as of yet.

Also, with symptoms being so mild, we may see less and less testing anyway. We seem to be at a stage now where if you wake up groggy you’ve got to go and do a test.
People will stop doing tests soon enough because work won’t pay for the time off and ssp for 10 days I’m not sure half the population can swallow.

A better day tomorrow to see us into the weekend. Wishful thinking but stranger things can happen. :)

I have 915,000 shares at 0.13. So also in profit, just could never withdraw :). It’s was a £100 punt basically.

Well it definitely didn’t do what TUI did. But in all fairness Rolls was always on the back foot today with PlanB news etc.
I feel the bulls may be out tomorrow to scoop up some cheaper shares.

But it definitely shouldn’t be over 4% down so someone will be scooping up today.

Only difference between TUI yesterday and RR today JTT is that PlanB has now been announced, also the omicron Pfizer bio tech was announced yesterday which massively helped TUI get out of a hole.

Hoping RR takes the same path but TUI had a catalyst yesterday to do so

I need this share to rise 150% just to break even.
Not pulling my money out now but I’ve lost a bit of faith. When Bitcoin was rising this was still falling, amd we all know that when Bitcoin falls most miners fall too so it’s just been stuck in a rut.

Can anyone restore it for me please :)

It’s quite obvious investors have lost faith because there isn’t really any buying pressure and hasn’t been for a long time. What’s the catalyst needed to get this moving? ….. thanks :)

Glad I didn’t make the trade today. Still may gap up but sentiment on a bit of a downer. Brighter news though, the word ‘endemic’ was mentioned. And they’re going to look into the red list and isolating at home instead of hotels.

I wish I could have hit the button but again, didn’t want too much exposure so just bit my tongue. Now I’m biting it off haha

Hence my reservations CW. Not that it directly impacts travel as such but just sentiment as a whole. Let’s see what he has to say!

I steered clear of TUI at 204, I nearly hit the button this am but didn’t because of other news. Then it spiked and dipped back down again which I didn’t see.
Did it start rising at the time the omicron Pfizer news came out?

As I said in my other post, chose not to load up this evening as Rolls may take the same path as what TUI did today.

So…. TUI this morning took a 6% spike down before finishing up.
Will rolls spike down tomorrow to clear stop losses before shooting up?
This was my only reason for not loading up this evening, plus with possibility of plan B looking it might just have a dampener on tomorrow.

Il be ready and waiting tomorrow morning though that’s for sure.

So peeved I didn’t buy at 105 today, I had the trade ready and to hit the button but I’m already invested in RR and IAG so couldn’t really afford another travel stock should it start falling. As news is pretty hit and miss at the moment.

Will wait for another opportunity should I get one now I know the results are decent.

Yeh it’s silly. The markets are aware of this now though hence why we are seeing steady climbs throughout most sectors. Still zero deaths reported and no real serious hospitalisations directly linked to omicron.

TUI has just released an RNS, it’s a good gauge due how travel is doing so it’s worth a read. IAG May see an uptick today because of it. But media all over the Pfizer not being as effective I’ve so might just be a flat day

What’s your stop loss set at may I ask?
