That’s exactly what’s happening right now, I made a chunk, now running a small paper loss but because of exposure can escalate pretty quickly. It’s ok if I have enough margin to ride it out but may not be so luck this time.
Although I’d hate to lose. It’s money I’ve now written off and won’t leave me on beans on toast but in no way ideal.

Greed got the better of me. I kept adding which exposed me a little too much.

I’ve wanted to get out of it for a while but I’ve been on the trade on rr and iag for in excess of 6months.
Got back in at the wrong time and it’s come back to bite me. I was banking on Thursday and Friday for their results to try and get out but not looking likely.
Il be looking to properly invest with anything I have left to average down on PayPal and out the rest into rolls.

Unfortunately yes, have been doing ok but since that big hit at 145 I’ve been holding on for dear life. So I’m hoping I can survive tomorrow.
I bought into PayPal which has done nothing but fudge me as well.
I always wanted to get out of spreading but have always been at a loss but side trading along side it to recoup but tomorrow will be the nail in the coffin I think.

JTT I use trade gate to check. It must have after hours. Anyway, I’m really not looking forward to tomorrow. Think I’m gonna be wiped out. :(

Sh*t. Bad day coming tomorrow

Was watching channel 4 news. They were talking to Bob Seeley (conservative foreign affairs committee) He called them out on channel 4 not reported that a lot of the Russians troops are effectively “actors” as they’re employed by the GRU. Once Bob Seeley had said that they’re not reporting this saying that channel 4 are presenting them as rebels backed by Russia…….. the interview was very quickly cut off.

Need I say more.

It was 20 minutes in on the 7pm news on channel 4. Worth a watch I’d say.

I hope he doesn’t invade on the 23rd… it’s my birthday. I’d really love the results to be above expectation (it won’t) but would make my birthday weekend a lot better

So, what’s peoples thoughts on the upcoming results day. Some graphs are showing travel at 47% of 2019 and in Rolls last report the said they should see above 50%. Now with the dreaded omicron impact I wonder how that will fair up.

Defence and cargo should do pretty well. They will probably touch on SMR and investments made etc, also their electric flying venture too.

Hopefully ITP will be noted in as completed too.

All in all I predict it to be positive but shadowed by the latest omicron impact. Personally I can’t see it shooting up to its recent 146 ish highs just yet but above 130 range would be a good target.

Constructive opinions backed up by why would be good. :)

So, much better news today which may now change the course of the recent decline in s.p. Could be setting up nicely for results day next week.

My biggest lesson here is running out of ‘dry powder’ at 125 but I suppose if you keep ‘dry powder’ and the s.p keeps dropping you will run out of topping up money eventually.

Well I think you’ve been pretty accurate throughout. At times I thought you were psychic. Still, not looking good for Monday whichever way you look at it. That will be across all sectors. Russia would be crazy to invade now USA have positioned themselves. Chinas obviously not getting involved as Russia's ally as they would have done so already I would have thought. They have nothing to gain from it really.

Hey red! I would say 116 is conservative given that we will probably be at war this weekend. Things could get very very messy.

Big blue… hit the nail on the head there. Definitely money being moved around given how badly tech has taken a hit. I’m invested in PayPal and currently 50% down. Hard to imagine being the amount down on such a big company when they’re still making profits. Just growth has been stunted because covid saw a massive influx in growth, very hard to sustain.
Still PayPal is nearly 70% down from its highs :o

So, a much better week for us all here. Obviously a red day across almost every sector but from a rolls point of view there was probably some profit taking to be had.
Hopefully more of those green candlesticks leading up to results day too.
Just that one big burden and that is of course Russia/Ukraine.
