One of many problems with Aim is that the lunatics are in charge of the asylum. Its easy money for the insiders and hangers on.

Cement industry uses large quantities of low grade fuels,which are cheap but processing to kiln quite difficult /time consuming -solid fuels need to be milled or crushed in some way. Gas prbably best fuel but now expensive. HFO needs constant heating supply,MSAR made from refinery dregs ,once processed much more user friendly .

Just had a quick look at a report regarding fuel use in the cement industry,its clear that they use any indigenous or easily available fuel in their area ie. coal ,hfo,gas and car tyres. Basicly anything that will burn.

Just tried buy/sell on ii; 3.98 to buy.3.62 to sell. The apparent spread is level up the market playing field lol.

Worked in an analogous industry .High energy usage ,rotary kilns,HFO and petcoke.
Petcoke being a cheaper alternative to HFO. The downside with the coke was milling ,transport and initial combustion. Lower calorific value-needed fuel oil to preheat kiln .HFO needed to be heated to circa 100*c to store and pump because of high viscosity.
MSAR can be stored and pumped at ambient temperatures (as long as above 0*c). I would expect initial preheat of kiln would be needed with this fuel. However this type of industry operates 24/7 so peheats are few and far between once kiln is up to snuff. Cement kilns tend to run at a lower peak temp circa,1450*c than ours(circa.1650*c) because we produced a basic refractory material.
Limestone is one of the major ingredients in cement production. Pure limestone is calcium carbonate,this material decomposes circa. 1400*c to form calcium oxide and carbon dioxide gas. For every 100grams of limestone 44grams of carbon dioxide are evolved. 44grams of carbon dioxide equates to a volume of 22litres at atmospheric pressure.This gas is exhausted to atmosphere unless it can be removed by some form of scrubbing system. Carbon dioxide is also one of the combustion products of the fuel as well as NO2, SO2/H2S.MSAR should reduce the amount of nitrogen dioxide produced ,the sulfur emissions will depend on the source material of the MSAR.
The only potential problem i can see in using MSAR in cement kilns is that limestone decomposes to calcium oxide which forms calcium hydroxide in the presence of water(30% in MSAR) However i don't know enough about high temperature chemical reactions in cement kilns to comment further.

This was supposedly an 'all singing and dancing new drill' with a lot of expertise behind it. Given the history of the area, contingencies should have been in place ,particularly thinks that would have a long lead time to procure. They new the chemicals that they would use during the drill and therefore what chemicals would be needed for any remedial work.

There seems to be some sensitive souls about. Lets all sit around the campfire and sing jolly songs and pat each other on the back,not forgetting the toasted marshmallows.

I don't think anyone with more than one brain cell will be selling at this level. The MMs will be collecting their 'Brucie bonus' and the traders their blood money.

Think the CEO needs to organise a Q&A session to improve company coms with the rank and file.If things do not improve in this direction his tenure will be short.
The immediate questions from me are 'When were the well clean up chemicals ordered?' Why hadn't provision been made for this posibility? If they had been ordered more than a day ago, why wasn't the market informed.

Information is power on the stock market,particularly Aim.The market info is kept to people in the loop and their hangers on.There was more real info coming out of the KGB during the cold war than comes from the supposedly level playing field called AIM.
