I believe there are c.3.8m options outstanding of which 2.33m sit with the directors. So there are a fair number of options with employees. I think it is a firm wide incentive plan so I would expect that most employees (of all levels) will have some kind of options as part of their remuneration. It’s a simple non cash route of incentivising everyone.

An employee could easily not be anywhere near NCI negotiations etc and therefore not be considered an insider. Hence I don’t think you can read much into this RNS really. The value involved is small so unlikely to be anyone particularly senior

Actually Rocka, it could be interpreted in a number of different ways.

For one, if the tax treatment is similar to that of unapproved share options in the U.K., then the difference between the MV on the date of exercise and the exercise price is taxable as employment income (ie high rates). Whereas once you have exercised, any increase in value from them insured to CGT (lower rates).

Hence it could be interpreted that they expect a large rise in the share price and so they want to maximise the amount which is within CGT rather than income tax.

Equally it could simply me that they are changing jobs, so need to exercise before departure to ensure their options to not lapse.

But obviously as you have sold Rocka you automatically spout the negatives.

I think they need to see down and review how they approach BD and sales. The work is out there and they have a better offering. They need to figure out how they get in front on the decision makers and how they get them to say yes.

They are thinking that the NCI agreement will do this for them. But alternatively, do they need more of a sales team on the ground in the US? I know other biotechs looking to expand into the US sometimes partner with local sales team, paying high commission for success. What that usually means is that revenue grows quickly but your profits lag a little. But once you’re established, you don’t need the expensive sales partnership and your high margins return.

It’s this type of stuff they need to start thinking about

When you take out the IP sale revenue, the annual revenue was a bit disappointing. However, I was a bit worried coming into the update as what they were projecting for H2 felt like a big ask, as they were trying to make up for a poor H1.

The question I have asked in the Hub is that given we have market leading offerings, why is revenue not projected to go up sharply? I appreciate that there are macro factors that have an impact, but if you’re the best out there, that shouldn’t stop you taking market share from competitors.

I want to know what they are going to do differently going forward to achieve the revenue growth investors expect
