It is cheaper to buy on in the market than right issue unless you want small number of shares

Will the competition from Phillips 66 win? If yes hopefully they will takeover VLS .

Is it worth applying for excess shares? Or watch and buy on dip ( which may maynot happen) as some might be waiting for their allocation and then sell

Shareholders should be able to buy at 8 p.

Sustainable fuels specialist Velocys plc (AIM:VLS) has just reported the completion of a bookbuild which was significantly oversubscribed, with 12.5m placing shares conditionally placed at a placing price of 8p. Velocys says that it is likely to raise £25m from the placing.

I would watch and sell not put limit order as have been bitten few times by setting limit orders.

Any entitlements to Open Offer Shares not subscribed for by Eligible Shareholders will be available to Eligible Shareholders under the excess application facility for the Open Offer.

Brilliant idea. I never thought of that. Will set a trade plan as my broker doesn't charge.
